Justification in joining this activity is that this activity is about giving the awards to those who get the excellent result in academic and non-academic. I am the one of the emcees who will need to handle the program. Preparing the emcee script and discuss the flow of program with committee to make sure every time is calculated precisely and in the right track of our planning. Keep practice the way to speak, pronounce, and smile to deliver the best to all participants. The graduate attributes that are focused on teamworking skills, communication skills, thinking skills, global citizen, and adaptability. One day before the program, I forced to record the emcee video because of the unstable network. So, this increase my adaptability to the unknow situation, we should never stop and feel afraid, the thing we should do is be flexible like a water, adapt to the environment and change the plan.
Self Reflection
Through this experience in handling the program, I realized that I become more confident in interacting with people and the ways to communicate with different type of person. It is good to have this unforgettable memory to be an emcee. Learning the way to speak confident and fluent, and work with a team of committee. When conducting event through online, the technical problem such as unstable network will affect the participants’ experience. Hence, a backup plan which are having a rehearsal one day before the event and use data instead of Wi-Fi, or record the video first are some alternative ways to overcome the obstacle. When there are misunderstanding, we should take the action promptly to explain it clearly. Sharpen my critical thinking skills which can help us estimate the situation and problem may arise. I like the sentence be flexible like a water, since we can expect what is going on in the future precisely, so high adaptability is the skills we should learn.
