Self Reflection:
- From the virtual webinar, I learned about the process of Transformative Innovation (TI). Different with the incremental innovative model which are either INVENTION or IMITATION, Transformative Innovation is located between both of these models and called RADICAL innovation model which means it contents leap and bounce of upgrading that resulting significant products or services with high value (increasing price). The process of this innovation can be illustrated as the transformation of a caterpillar to a butetrfly. For an example, the conventional luggage lock with price range of five to fifthteen dollars was transformed to eGeeTouch Smart travel padlock with price range of twenty-nine to ninety dollars. In contrast, we can see how transformative innovation worked to upgarde the products with latest technologies. As conclusion, this webinar is very impressive and gave me more insight about how Transformative Innovation associate with the technologies in Industrial 4.0 to invent a new product. Although some of the contents touched my blind spot of knowledge, it was still an interesting and important topic for us to keep updated with the current worldwide issue.
