I feel grateful to have become a student of my dedication and respected lecturer, PM Dr. Mohd Shahizan Othman. Undoubtedly, Prof. is an experienced and knowledgeable lecturer. During the classes, Prof. is not only teaching the syllabus of the course; indeed, he is generous in sharing his knowledge of computer science and real-world industry experience outside the syllabus with us to improve our knowledge and understanding and make our classes more fun and interesting. Besides that, when we encounter any problems or difficulties in our lectures, assignments, or projects, The professor is very willing to explain things to us slide by slide in order to resolve our issues and improve our understanding. Lastly, I would like to thank Prof. for your dedicated lectures. I have learned a lot of knowledge from you and I strongly believe that the knowledge I have learned is imperative in my future, especially in the real-world industry. Thank you, Prof, for your dedication. I really appreciate it.
Undoubtedly, via this course, Technology and Information Systems, it has broadened my mind in the field of computer science and also the 4.0 Industrial Revolution. Due to the dedication and devotion of the academic staff, we are grateful to attend industrial talks every two weeks to better understand the new trends in technologies, the imperatives of computer science, and also the knowledge of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, which will be applicable to the candidates in the near future. Besides that, this course also provides students with assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects in order to strengthen the knowledge of students and prepare them for real-world industry.
In order to improve my potential in the industry, I have drafted various plans to enhance myself in various aspects to suit the needs of the market. Firstly, I plan to participate in some clubs that exist in UTM, for instance, the Airost Club, Robocon Club, Debate Club, and so on. Instead of empty talk, at the beginning of semester one, I decided to step out of my comfort zone to participate in the Bursa Young Investor Club in order to enhance my communication skills and also improve my social cycle. In addition, I plan to be more disciplined and follow the timetable strictly in order to improve my efficiency instead of wasting my time on unbeneficial activities. Furthermore, I will work hard and study hard, following the instructions given by my lectures in order to attain an excellent result in my academic performance. Besides that, I also plan to improve my creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship in order to increase my employability in the future.
University Technology Malaysia (UTM) is one of the best and most research-oriented public universities in Malaysia. I feel so grateful and fortunate to have received the offer to study data engineering at UTM. To be a successful student on this course, I have set many goals for myself during my first year of university.
- By achieving first-class honours in my academic performance, I will be able to achieve first-class honours in my academic performance.
- Improve my knowledge of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.
- Participate in cocurricular activities to enhance my soft skills.
- Improve my social cycle.
- Enhance my information technology knowledge.
- Enhance my programming skills.
The Secret Recipe for Getting the AWS Badge
RSS
Undoubtedly, my first recipe is to pay full attention when your lecturer is teaching. This is because our lectures are knowledgeable and have rich experience. Thus, by strictly following the instructions and indications given by our lectures, it can assist us in preventing ourselves from taking the wrong way and save us time in the journey of our learning process. I know that cloud computing seems like a new item for the freshies, and it is taking time to fully understand this topic. So, my second recipe is asking our lectures or discussing with our friends when we encounter any issues about cloud computing in order to solve the issues. Never be shy, as our lectures are friendly and dedicated, and they are happy to assist you. Besides asking our lectures and friends, we are also recommended to find the answers via browsing Google and Youtube platforms, as there are many experts sharing their views on Google and Youtube, and it is advantageous to us. When I face any issues in studying AWS, I will never hesitate to open my browser and find the answers to improve my understanding. In addition, time management is imperative in completing the AWS modules. In the studying process, there are lots of assignments that put burdens on our shoulders. Thus, we are recommended to draught a study plan to manage our time wisely, and it plays a vital role as a guide to completing our tasks within a limited time. For me, I planned to complete all the modules in three weeks, as I currently spend two to three hours studying AWS modules every day. I feel grateful that I have the opportunity to study the knowledge of could-computing. I really appreciate it. In conclusion, I urge all of us to appreciate this opportunity to study AWS modules diligently as it will be very useful in our future. I wish you all the best and good luck.
Reflection on AWS
RSS
I strongly agree that getting the AWS badge is included in the SECP1513 subject. Undoubtedly, via the modules from AWS Academy, it has successfully broadened and widened the vision and knowledge of students in the areas of Cloud Computing, AWS, and also the 4.0 Industrial Revolution. AWS Academy is not only teaching the theories of cloud computing but also focusing on the practical by providing students with lab exercises and activities to improve their understanding. In this highly competitive environment, getting the AWS will bring lots of benefits to students by elevating their potential, capability, and employability. In conclusion, I appreciate the opportunity given by UTM academic staff to enhance our knowledge in the fields of AWS and Cloud Computing. Thank you to the UTM Academic Staff for their hard work and dedication.
My direction after completing the badge is to increase my knowledge of Cloud Computing and Computer Science. First, I plan to do my revision in order to enhance my knowledge. After finishing my revision, I aim to attend the next class to get other badges to improve my capability and knowledge of Cloud Computing and Computer Science, such as machine learning, data analysis, database management, and so on. Our country intends to enter the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Thus, I hope to learn this knowledge to reciprocate in my motherland, Malaysia.
Unquestionably, cloud computing is the way of the future in this era of globalisation and modernization. We are fortunate as our dedicated UTM academic staff have provided us an opportunity to study the knowledge of cloud computing via AWS Academy, and I strongly believe that the AWS badge is essential in improving our competitiveness and employability. I advise my friends who have not gotten the AWS Badge to manage their time wisely. Time is money, and we must spend it wisely on activities that benefit us rather than wasting it on activities that do not. Besides that, we should set a clear goal for ourselves. Setting a goal is imperative to improving our efficiency and productivity. In conclusion, knowledge is power. Let us complete modules as fast as possible.
In my opinion, I strongly agree that every UTM computer science student should learn cloud computing and get the AWS badge. Therefore, as Cloud Computing is one of the most important items in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, there is a reason why I strongly recommend every UTM computer science student learn Cloud Computing. Besides that, based on the National Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Policy implemented by the Economic Planning Unit, our beloved country, Malaysia, is planning to elevate the information technology and computer science fields in order to become an advanced and modern country on the world stage. However, nowadays, our country is still encountering a shortage of experts in this field. Thus, we, as the citizens of Malaysia, must learn cloud computing to increase our technical, competitive, and knowledge base and always be ready to contribute to our motherland, Malaysia.
In my opinion, I suggest every company should shift to cloud computing. Undoubtedly, cloud computing provides us with lots of benefits, especially in the field of business. For example, saving cost, scalable recourses, increasing security, strategic competitive advantage, and so on. By shifting to cloud computing, we can save on costs as we do not need to purchase hardware or servers and also spend a lot of money on maintaining our data centres because these will be provided by our provider's servers. Thus, we can more easily focus on our businesses instead of spending our time and money on this matter. Besides that, the services of cloud computing are scalability. Cloud computing uses a pay-as-you-go pricing method. It means we pay based on how much we use. Furthermore, we do not need to worry about the unexpected peak that will not get the server up while using cloud computing services because our service providers will assist us in solving this issue. In conclusion, there are many advantages to utilising cloud computing, so I recommend every company shift to cloud computing.
