Head of the registration unit and special duties

The objective of this activity is to provide an opportunity for all Psychology students of different races and cultures to share the joy of celebrating the Hari Raya Aidilfitri feast. Besides that, this activity aims to provide an opportunity for Psychology students to create bonds and further strengthen good relations with each other in this glorious month of Syawal through a simple banquet. It is important for students to develop a strong healthy bond with each other whether they are seniors or juniors so that psychology students will have an everlasting friendship and be a family to each other especially when they did not have the opportunity for it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The graduate attributes that are focused on this activity are leadership and team working skills, adaptability and thinking skills. All these things are the main reason why I want to join this activity as one of the committees.

From this activity, I got many impacts in the development of the students' graduate attributes. First, I gained the ability to negotiate and reach agreement in every discussion and in any decision-making matter. As the head of the registration and special tasks unit, I need to apply these skills by discussing and guiding each member of my unit to reach a decision needed to make this activity a success. In addition, I got the ability to look for alternative ideas and creative solutions where my unit was required to prepare its own photobooth for the activity in a relatively short time. Next, the ability to understand responsibility towards group decision can be obtained from each role of the different units in this activity in an effort to make this activity achieve its objective. Moreover, there are some challenges that occur throughout the process of carrying out this activity such as a sudden change in the location of the activity. However, with hard work and good cooperation from each activity committee, this matter can be overcome.
