REFLECTION
This project was different from the previous one because previously I did with my group however due to the outbreak we are assigned to do this project individually for the final examination replacement. For the project 2, we are required to find secondary data collected by other agencies for specific research. The type of statistics we will use for project 2 are the inferential statistics used to draw conclusions about a population from the sample. This includes showing hypothesis testing, correlation, regression and chi square data that have been chosen.
The secondary data that I have selected is about worldwide video game sales. As a student of Graphics and Multimedia Software, we need to know something like this because it also relates to programming and graphics. This study could be really helpful for companies and game developers to find out the players' preferences. So basically this study will examine which countries have the highest sales of video games and what their preferences include genre, platform, year, and publisher of the games.
From the data there is evidence that of all countries, North America recorded the highest sales around 2016 followed by Europe and also Japan. Many types of tests have been conducted for this project such as hypothesis testing with two sample mean data, finding the linear relationship of correlation, regression equation and even chi-square tests. For this project we are still using the same platform which is R studio for data analysis.
In conclusion, one of my personal reflections of this project has really encouraged me to learn more about R code. I find it very interesting and easy to use this platform and it might be useful for me in the coming years to simplify, compile and carry out data analysis. Moreover, I also gained knowledge of the various genres and platforms available for video games.
