INDIVIDUAL REFLECTION (CRITICAL THINKING 2CT FESTIVAL 2018)

            For the 2CT Festival, I was choose to take place in theater because I do really like to acting. Plus I think theater was the only things I can do to compare to other things like dance, craft and fashion show. So for this theater, I was assigned as Adelina, to play a role as a grand-daughter to the hero, which is Mansor Adabi. I only come out in the scene 1 with the character of the second grand-daughter. Here, Adelina is some who are hot-tempered and get angry easily to her sister in this scene. She also found a missing picture of her grandfather with his first wife, Natrah.

            For this role as Adelina, I don’t need any specific strategy to play this role. This is because Adelina character seem same like my character who easily get angry. So here I played Adelina as my character to make it like real and to live the character of Adelina. Plus, to play as a granddaughter is not hard because I already have the good bonding with the hero who played as Mansor Adabi and also who played as the sister of mine. To make the scene seem real, we always practice it in the real situation.

            The issue that our team faced to make this theater happen was when we get a help from outside of the team from the team of theater UTM. So the conflict happen when one of the outside team not being rude but she do not have a proper way in conducting the training and make us feel like she do not respect us. So here the conflict happen when all of the team feel the same way and we have talk session with the whole team include the director and decided to not received any help from the outside because we believe that director can guide us well.

            In order to have a good performance during the festival, we try to make our character and the script out of the written script to make it interesting and seem more real. We also try to make the Natrah is a bit different in the original version but still same in the storyline. The lesson we learned from this team is a good teamwork and great leadership can make the team success in the end of the program. Thank you to the team for a good cooperation and I enjoyed to work as team. I hope one fine day I can show to the people that I really want to become an actress.
