SECP1513 - TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM

Design thinking is a process in which designers are required to collect some information on the problems faced by the clients. This process is actually very common to be used and it is very helpful for the designers. Basically, by applying this process, designers can looked onto the smaller scope to identify the actual reasons why the problems occurred and also solve it.

These are the process that need to be gone through in Design Thinking:

In this project, we have to choose one of the topic from our syllabus and we need to apply the design thinking process in solving the problem according to the topic we chose and our group has chose Input and Output as our topic. 

These are some parts from our prototype:

PC Assembly is a group project in which we as a group must learn on how to assemble the PC from scratch. In this year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic that we are currently facing, we are required to watch the video provide and make a report on how to assemble a PC. From the video provided, we can learn on the steps and also precautions taken for safety purposes during the process of assembling the PC. We also required to draw the sketch of the motherboard as the part of this project.

In this project, there is one essential part which is important for us to participate because it contains all the information we needed and it is the talk session. The talk session is presented by Mr. Redzuan Shah Bin Yussoff, Southern Strategic Economic Region, Telekom Malaysia, via Cisco Webex. The talk session was held in online platform because of the covid-19 pandemic and students were required to join it to get the idea of what should we put in the assignment. This project requires us to create a poster with all the information we obtain from the talk session and gave out an idea from that talk session for the better future in technologies especially in Malaysia.

In this project, we must make a report based on the talk session that we must participated in order to collect as many as possible points on the important and trending in IT Project Management. The talk was held via online platform which was Cisco Webex due to the pandemic that are currently still active all around the world. The talk was presented by Mr. Mohd Khairul Reeza Roslan, Head of Project Management Office Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd.

In this project, we are required to attend a talk session which include the seniors from the past semesters to shared their experiences with the first year students and make a report based on what we obtained from this talk. This session was held via Cisco Webex as the precaution from spreading the pandemic covid-19 as well as it gave an easier accessibility for the students on all around the world.  The talk supposedly be presented by four different individuals but only three of them were able to join the session. The talk was presented by Batrisyia Binti Azman Shah, Tan Yong Keong and Mohamad Zamarul Akmal Bin Mohd Hussin. This session is a new way on how to give students a clear understanding on how they would go on with their studies also their scope of work in the future.

This is the last group project in this semester and it is related to cloud computing. We are exposed to the Microsoft Azure technology in the class and we were required to make some research on other source of cloud computing. From the researches, we must do a literature review in certain aspect of each cloud computing services to see the differences, weakness and strength, of it. The literature review must include two cloud computing services, Microsoft Azure is the constant variable while the two other type, which are, Google Cloud Platform and Amazon EC2, is the manipulated variable, and need to choose one of it for the report.

This course has opened my eyes to see beyond the eyesight. It teaches me to learn and
know more about technologies. This course has widely spread useful knowledges that can be use in the future especially for my working experience later. I should pay more attention to details on current technologies so that I am up-to-date with the newest technologies.
