POSITION / ROLES
Head of Department - Registration (CREW)

Mini Report
The Computing Gala’23 is an event to host an award dinner ceremony
honouring the Faculty of Computing’s students, lecturers, and staff. It’s
also known as the “Night of Gratitude”, dedicated to recognizing
students excelling in academics and extracurricular activities with
prizes and acknowledgements. These awards aim to inspire Faculty of
Computing students to strive for excellence in their upcoming years,
fostering a spirit of dedication. The faculty and student get together
provide an opportunity for reconnection and reflection on previous
experiences, unintentionally acting as a source of motivation as all
students prepare for their final exam, their major turning point.

Self-Reflection
As the Head of the Department of Registration for Computing Gala’23,
I held a big responsibility to make sure all of my registration crews
could make the registration form as fast as we could. It is important
since we can get our budget from students early. However, since some
of our forms are still not finished yet and it’s already passed the due, I
need to take charge of making all of the forms since some of my crews
did not respond to my texts and calls. Because of that, it delayed all of
the other crews from other departments resulting that we got lower
participants than we expected. I learned that to be a good leader I need
to be more firm in carrying out my responsibilities so that everything
will run smoothly as we hope.

POSITION / ROLES
Protocol Unit (CREW)

Mini Report
The SUSKOM '23, or Sukan Sains Komputer 2023, is an annual sports
program organized by the Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer
(PERSAKA) at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Initially virtual due
to COVID-19, this year's program was held physically from December
21 to December 23, 2023. It aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among
students and staff of the Faculty of Computing.
The event includes both physical and electronic sports. Physical sports
comprise futsal, badminton, frisbee, chess, and basketball, while
electronic sports feature competitions in Mobile Legend, EA Sports FC
24, and Valorant. A lot of participants in this program represent their
own course, fostering enjoyable experiences and strengthening
camaraderie. But at the end of the day, the Software Engineering course
were announced as the winner for Best Course Award as they collected
the most points.

Self-Reflection
As a member of the protocol unit team for SUSKOM’23, I've had the
opportunity to acquire new skills in managing software programs. This
marks my inaugural participation in sports programs, and being the
protocol unit for this event has significantly enhanced my practical
knowledge. Ensuring the smooth execution of every game is crucial,
and I achieve this by adhering to the Rules of Operation (RO) outlined
in the tentative plan. Participating in this event has also expanded my
social network within the Faculty of Computing, leading to numerous
new friendships. One challenge encountered during the event is the
frequent changes in the tentative plan without informing the protocol
crew, making last-minute adjustments to the RO necessary. Despite this
challenge, I'm proud to be a valuable part of SUSKOM’23’s team.

Program Name: CYBERLYMPICS'23
Date: 18-21 JANUARY 2023
Venue: N28A

Graduate Attributes
1. Communication Skills
2. Thinking Skills
3. Leadership and teamwork skills
4. Adaptability

POSITION / ROLES
Gift Unit (CREW)

Mini Report
Cyberlympics'23 is an annual sports event hosted by PERSAKA,
aiming to foster a lively and enjoyable atmosphere among students,
lecturers, and staff of the Faculty of Computing at UTM. Given the past
three years of entirely virtual programs due to the COVID-19
pandemic, it's now an opportune time for students to come together in
person, fostering social connections and promoting a healthier youth
lifestyle. This event features a mix of virtual and physical games,
including a 5km Run, Frisbee, Penalty Kick, and Badminton. E-games
like Valorant and Mobile Legend are also part of the lineup. As a gift
unit, I was tasked to contact the supplier for our Cyberlympics jersey
and had a deal with them.

Self-Reflection
Being a part of the gift unit crew, it has helped to learn a new things in
handling a program. Cyberlympics'23 its the first ever sports program
that I joined as crew. So becoming the gift unit in this event has made
me gain a lot of experience. Since I handle the merchandise part which
is our jersey, I need to make sure we can have a good deal with the
supplier and at the same time make sure that our jerseys are delivered
before this event starts. Joining this event also, it has widened my social
circle in the Faculty of Computing as I met and made a lot of new
friends. The problem I'm facing during this event is that some of the
jerseys were delivered late because of the technical issue from our
supplier. However, our participants do understand that situation and do
not blame us a hundred percent for the jerseys.

My entire résumé

Interests

Reading books is something I like doing in my spare time. What sort of books or genres I like to read is not important to me since I will complete a book as long as it is intriguing, and vice versa, as long as it is interesting to me. Speaking of why I like reading, it is because it has literally transported me to another world where I may escape from the stresses of everyday life while also gaining more information. I also like playing video games, despite the fact that I am not as skilled as some others.

Goals

Personal goals

I would want to improve my communication skills since I am an introverted person who prefers to be alone. However, I cannot ignore the fact that in order for me to be successful in the profession, I must strike a good balance between soft skills and hard abilities. Given this, I am excited to begin strengthening my soft skills, beginning with communication skills, since it seems that communication skills have a significant influence on a person's overall well-being and success. Hopefully, everything went well.

Academic goals

In terms of academic objectives, I expect to get a decent mark on my course, since I always spend my weeknights studying and seeking assistance from the lecturers.

Career goals

Regarding my professional aspirations, I hope that one day I will be able to realise my ambition and, as a result, I will be able to provide more employment for those who are in need, particularly recent graduates. As a result, I can assist many individuals in being successful in their jobs by working with them.

Myself

My philosophy

The Almighty has created you for a purpose, not for popularity. You’re not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay. Not everyone will like you and that’s okay too. Strive to please your Creator, not the creation. You’ll never be good enough for people. That’s the nature of life.
