My latest Reflection

Probability & statistical data analysis class has taught me a lot. Before this class, I have never touched or be interested in statistics, and every time I look at a graph or data in the news, internet, TV, etc. I always take all of it for granted without really thinking about the process that goes behind it. After finishing this class, I am now well versed on the many technical terms commonly used in statistics.

Through this project 2, I also learned a lot about processing raw data into an information that can be used. For this project, I chose the dataset of Iris's length and width, the data itself has 150 entries of 4 different classification of iris's. From this dataset, we as a team processed the data by running test such as Hypothesis testing, Correlation, Regression, and ANOVA tests. We can then conclude from the test about the relationship that the data have between each other.

Learning statistics opens a lot of opportunity for me, before this I have no idea on how to begin collecting data in order to use it for my benefit, not mentioning processing it into something useful. But after finishing this course, I learned how to collect data correctly and efficiently, process those data by running tests and turn it into information that can be used for my benefit.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this course, and my lecturer Dr. Nor Azizah Ali has been amazing. She teaches all the concepts very well and often hold extra class for us. In the future, I hope that I can use my newly learned skill into good use.

PSM Presentation and Reflection Video

DSC UTM 1ST GENERAL MEETING

DSC stands for developer students club, it is a formative group consisting of UTM students that have an interest in the development world. DSC is one of Google's core approaches to introducing students to the real-world development scene, with webinars and seminars consisting of new and bleeding-edge technologies. At this very first general meeting, the president of the club introduces us to the core of what the club does. The president also introduces the committee member that will be responsible throughout the semester, with also recruitment for specific events that will be held on for the club on a later date. This proves to be quite useful as every member has the chance to get to know the people behind it, and also a great chance for other members to get to know each other.

SECURING YOUR INTERVIEW SESSION AND JOB HUNTING REFLECTION

Getting a job is a tedious process, it requires dedication and a lot of preparation starting even from your early university years. It is crucial to understand core concepts and tricks on how to prepare yourself for that inevitability in the future. Securing an interview is often harder than actually doing the interview itself. The webinar talks about how important it is on preparing your resume to the best you can, use good writing, and also use an ATS-friendly format. This ensures the most chance for the company to get to see your resume and considers an interview session with you. The webinar also talks about how to prepare in the future as a college students, highlighting the importance of learning outside your lectures and preparing a good portofolio

UTM CYBERX SCSR - BUG BOUNTY HUNTING WORKSHOP REFLECTION

The event was very informative and educational, I learned so many things throughout the webinar. The vice president of the UTM CyberX organization hosted the talk, Anas Roubi a senior year student at UTM. He has been doing bug bounty for around 3 years, going by freelancing websites like Hackerone.com where people can discover vulnerabilities, and then report them for money. He does this so much that he's one of the top bug bounter on the website, with companies such as Brave, TrustPilot, etc.  He talks about the process he goes through when trying to discover vulnerabilities. it consists of reconnaissance, testing out potential leads, and luck was also a significant factor. All in all, it was a fantastic talk and very informative.
