Drug Smuggling
Drug Smuggling is one of the biggest problems that the world has ever faced, this problem has been around ever since drugs were made illegal by most countries. All kinds of ways have been thought and tried by governments around the world in order to deal with this problem, but the outcome said something else. Out of all varieties of ways that were applied never came out with stopping drug smuggling, it only either slowing the process down or decreasing the numbers. Although it may seem like decreasing the numbers down means that we are slowly stopping drug smuggling, it’s actually not. Drug dealers are humans, they have brains too. If we eliminate a way for them to smuggle drugs, we only force them to find another way to smuggle, which could also lead them to extreme ways that most humans never thought of doing so.
Malaysia has that kind of issue as well. At some point of time you were just watching TV and relaxing and suddenly stumbled around a news about a smuggler who got caught in the airport, or maybe in his house with kilograms upon kilograms of concrete evidence. Well, that guy that you saw is only one of the thousand or maybe hundred thousands of smugglers that are operating here in Malaysia. And also the guy that you saw was not new to this kind of business, he might have already spread out influences to the people around him, which could lead to more future smugglers.
As we all know, all people have their reasons behind all of their actions. All of these people that are smuggling drugs have the same reason, which is money. Almost all of the drug smugglers have a background of being homeless, hungry, and poor. All of them are forced into doing this because it looked like a simple job and the money paid is much, I mean who doesn’t want to get rich the easy way right?. So these people are influenced by experienced drug smugglers to join in their business.
in the end we could only see ourselves at fault for what happened. Why are we at fault?, what do you think that could make people poor?. Greed, we only care about ourselves that we forgot about those who need our help, they don’t have a choice in order to survive in this already cruel world. To solve this problem we gotta start with ourselves, we must introspect ourselves in order to become a better human for the world
