 I will now share about what I have learned in chapter 9 Principal Chemical Process 2.actually the topic is just have the same main subtopic like the previous one.Especially in the calculation..I am interest with the subtopic heat of reaction and Hess's law. Heat of reaction are related to the heat of formation and heat of combustion. For Hess law one should know how to manipulate with the chemical equation which is combustion equation and formation equation.

in this topic, the knowledge of some basic and more complex mass balance is applied, for example, mass balnce using the technique of EOR, moleculars or atomic balance. For me, I would prefer using atomic balance though its quite a long calcultion, it is still more comprehensive. after done with mass balence we can proceed to the next step which is do the inlet and outlet table.there have two technique to do the table:

Heat of Formation                         Use Molecular represenatation of the chemicals

 if we are usingheat of formation, Hi would be as follows:

----> Hi=Hf + H

And the total heat generation is:

----> Total H=Hout -Hin

If we are using heat of reaction, Hi would be as follows:

----> Hi=H

While its heat generation is:

----> Total H=EOR1 + (EOR2 + EORn)(if applicable; more than one reaction) +Hout - Hin

This is the new semester after 2 and half month holiday. At this semester i going to learn about the energy balance whics is the continuous from mass balance that i learn in  previous semester.We still using the same book Elementary Principle of Chemical Processes.

in this semester we start with chapter 8 balance on non reactive processes.we learned how to find enthalpy values by using Hypothetical Paths.we must remember the equation to fine thr enthalpy of open system and close system.

Closed systemQ-W = ^U + ^KE + ^PE

Open system Q-W = ^H + ^KE + ^PE*note ^=delta 

We also learn how to use the reference table from the book.Fromtable B1, B2,B4, B7 until B8.we also learn how to integrate Cp(heat capacity at constant pressure)..

Pada minggu lepas pelajar-pelajar seksyen 04 telah diberi satu perisian yang berkaitan dengan mata pelajaran prinsip kejuruteraan kimia. Perisian ini menekankan tentang konsep keseimbangan tenaga  dan “ first law of thermodynamic’. Didalam perisian ini terdapat animasi- animasi yang memudahkan para pelajar memahami konsep keseimbangan tenaga. Selain itu terdapat juga soalan –soalan yang berkaitan keseimbangan tenaga yang boleh dijawab oleh pelajar dalam proses mementapkan lagi pemahaman terhadap topic ini. Saya difahamkn bahawa perisian ini merupakan kajian university untuk mengkaji sejauh mana tahap kefahaman pelajar tentang konsep asas keseimbangan tenaga selepas mengunakan perisian yang diberi.

Minggu lepas juga merupakan klas terakhir bagi subjek ini. Dikesempatan ini sya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepadas Dr Azeman di atas tunjuk ajar beliau. selain itu Dr Azeman juga menerapkan nilai dan sikap untuk mempersiapkan diri untuk dunia pekerjaan sebenar kepada pelajar-pelajar 1-SKPG.

Prinsip kejuruteraan kimia merupakan salah satu subjek wajib yang perlu diambil oleh semua pelajar kejuruteraan kimia. subjek ini menerangkn tentang proses- proses yang bakal dihadapi oleh pelajar kejuruteraan kimia apabila melamgkah ke alam pekerjaan kelak.

Pada minggu pertama saya telah belajar beberapa unit proses yang sering digunakan dalamindustri seperti penyulingan, pengadun dan sebagainya. Namun dalam mata pelajaran ini juga saya belajar bagaimana penhasilan sesuatu bahan itu terhasil.

Pensyaran yang ditugaskn untuk mengajar subjek ini sangat menitik beratkan tentang kepentingan memahami teknikal inggeris. Oleh itu sebagai langkah untuk memantapkan penguasaan saya dalam bahasa inggeris, saya telah menghabiskn baucer buku yang bernilai RM200 dengan membeli bahan bacaan dalam bahasa inggeris.
