My Reflection on Project 2
RSS
While I am on my way to finishing the challenging group project 2 of one of my favourite subjects, Probability & Statistical Data Analysis, assigned last month, I felt excited and rewarded for the valuable knowledge and experience. As a group project, my group member and I worked together hand in hand to ensure the project could be completed on time and fulfil our satisfaction and the lecturer’s requirements. As a first step forward for the project's long journey, we endeavoured to find a suitable data set as there are few necessary conditions and requirements as mentioned in the project rubric. For example, at least two nominal variables were needed to perform the chi-square test for independence.
Apart from the chi-square test for independence, hypothesis 2 sample test, correlation test, regression test, and ANOVA test are the important part of performing data analysis of the project that also need some specific variables requirement. Thankfully, we found a satisfactory data set after hours of searching on various websites such as Kaggle. Then, I cooperated with my group mate after the team leader divided the tasks for me. In this process, I have developed soft skills such as teamwork skills that further develop my abilities while working in a group. I revised the slides and lecture recordings that can further develop my understanding and knowledge needed in this project to make sure I could contribute to keeping the flag flying in the group project.
Furthermore, R programming is also a critical hard skill to complete this project because it plays an important role in data analysis. Hence, I need to self-learning most of the parts to enhance my R programming skills and knowledge. As a year one student studying Data Engineering, I believe R programming will be more important in the future as it is closely related to my course. To conclude, I must send my vehement protestations of gratitude to my lecturer, Dr. Nor Azizah Ali, who guided me patiently and always showed her responsibility and professionalism toward her students. She is one of the main reasons that I was able to complete this project and should not remain an unsung heroine.
