I am the speaker and facilitator and the Google Cloud Department member that is in charge in this workshop. Besides that i am the vice director of this program. I am responsible to talk about the topic entitled "Creating Date-Partitioned Tables in "BigQuery" in the workshop. As a member of the Google Cloud Platform department of DSC UTM, i am responsible in planning the workshop and contribute in proposal writing for the workshop. When I did not speak in front of the participants, I am responsible to facilitate participants that having problem and question. The problem and question can be technical and theoretical.
Self-reflection
- Impact of the activities on the development of the students’ Graduate Attributes
The impact of this event toward my development of the student’ graduate attributes is that i improve my communication skill and become braver to speak in front of a crowd. Besides that I also gain my skill on working with a team. We have trust between each other and believe everyone did their role properly. We are able to understand each other's behavior and we respect each other's ideas. The event runs smoothly because our team works. On top of that , we did improve our thinking skills. We think critically when we brainstorming for this workshop. We think a lot from different perspectives. We have to make sure the topic is interesting so that more participants will join our workshop. In the workshop, we try our best to act professionally and responsibly in carrying out our duties. We book meeting with two participants that are having subscription problems with the qwiklab to solve their problem and we managed to solve the problem.
- Self strength/advantage towards the activities
In my view, my self strength and advantages towards these activities is that I am a computer science student. I am able to learn about the topic that I will learn in the future in my course and share it with the participants.
- Challenges and how to overcome them
The biggest challenge is my nervousness when speaking in front of a crowd . Actually I am nervous because most of the participants are older than me and they are pursuing a computer science degree.I am concerned about what I am gonna be teaching about MYSQL in the workshop. They already learned it before. Luckily I overcame it by thinking that it's a good opportunity because they might correct me if I am wrong.
