INTRO

After forming the group and several discussions, we came up with the idea of conducting a survey on the choice of telecommunication services of UTM students. We know that nowadays, most of the students have an Internet plan subscribed to various telecommunication service providers, such as Maxis, Digi and Celcom. It is important to have our own Internet plan as a student because we need to have wide Internet access all the time, mainly for our studies. Our main purpose of the survey is to provide a basic overview of the students in UTM preferred choice of telecommunication to use. In our questionnaire, respondents were asked about their monthly usage of data and their satisfaction level of their current service provider. We hope to gather information on students' use of telecommunication service provider, and hence use the data collected to measure students' satisfactory regarding services provide by various telecommunication service provider, as well as developing our data analyzing skills.

CONCLUSION

In short, it was a great experience to learn R Studio for our data analysis and to develop our data analysis skills. I am also very proud to have good teammates which are all very willing to help, hence this project served as a very good platform for me to develop communication skills and improve on my team working skills. I believed that this project will be very useful for our future in the computer science field in terms of our probability and statistical data analysis skills. I hope that students get to do more projects like this in the future. With this I end my reflection on PSDA Project 1, thank you!

*REFLECTION ON PROJECT 1*

For our questionnaire which was in Google Forms, we set the number of respondents to 80 respondents, focusing around UTM students. We produced the questionnaire by asking questions on their preferred choice of telecommunication based on their daily usage. The process of thinking and making questions is hard because we need to make the questions as easy as possible so that we do not confuse the respondents, as well as giving audience clear graphical presentation of our data. After drafting the questionnaire questions and getting the approval from Dr. Chan about our questions, we distributed it through WhatsApp groups among the students.

After reaching the target number of respondents, we proceeded to data analysis process. For data analysis process, we used R Studio and during the process, we learnt how to produce graphical presentations into bar charts, histograms, pie charts and box plots from all the raw primary data collected. It was our first time exploring R Studio and it was truly a great experience using R Studio and also interesting to use.

We also did slide presentation in PowerPoint format. This is to make our video presentation more interesting and easy for the audience to understand our findings from the research. For our video presentation, the four of us each presented a few analysis on our questionnaire questions. We talked about simple data such as the highest and lowest data recorded, the graphs or plots used and in terms of mean, median and mode. We hope that the video is easy to understand for our audience and expose more knowledge on telecommunication to the community.

Throughout the project, we encountered a few difficulties in terms of group discussions, survey methods due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of Movement Control Order. We were only limited to online discussions or discussions among group members via texting only, this makes the task more difficult. Hence, teamwork and cooperation between the group members is very important for this project, and I am very lucky to have Saharul, Zulhakim and Rasmin as my group members because they helped me a lot, especially in video editing and also exploring R Studio. Doing the project is fun and I have always hope to be able to contribute more for this project.

Also, we would also like to thank Dr. Chan for his guidance throughout Project 1. He is always following up on our progress via WhatsApp even though we cannot have face-to-face classes at the moment. He even conducted online meeting sessions weekly for us to ask questions about any difficulties faced when doing projects or assignments. In short, I am happy to have the opportunity to do this project.
