LANG KWONG CHENG

First and foremost, I would like to show my deepest gratitude to University of Technology Malaysia and the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) for their efforts in conducting this industrial training which benefits the students in different aspects. The assistance of our responsible coordinator of the Industrial Training Programme, Dr. Nurulbahiyah and my resourceful university supervisor, Prof. Dr. Masafumi Goto in assisting the students throughout this internship period are also greatly appreciated. Whenever we have any doubts, they will be there anytime to answer our questions patiently and help us to clarify those matters which we are unsure of.

Furthermore, I take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude and appreciation to my production supervisor, Mr. Pravin (Production Engineer II) for giving me a golden opportunity to work with different technical groups and always give unlimited motivation from the starting of the internship until the end of the program. Thank you also for him making my stay productive and full of learning for the time being in Top Glove. Next, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to Production Department, Top Glove Sdn. Bhd., Factory 14, Klang, Malaysia for giving me this wonderful opportunity to undergo my industrial training for the past 3 months in their organization. The experience I have gained working and watching a team of full dedicated engineers working effortlessly with sincerity and concentration as well as teamwork is invaluable.

Not to be forgotten, I owe warm-hearted acknowledgement of gratitude to my mentor, Ms. Jayaprina (Production Engineer) for continuously giving all the guidance and support to fulfill this challenging task of my projects. Her kind efforts and encouragement are the key elements that not only kept me on track at this moment, but also helped to improve my working skills for future. I truly feel thankful to her for managing time out of her busy schedules and for her valuable efforts to discuss problems as well as to clarify the fundamentals. To my best wishes, all the best for her further study in master.

In addition, I want to show my appreciation to meet with my production trainees, friendly and helpful characters had made me feel warm and thankful that I could work with them under the same engagement. Thank you also to former worker, Mr. Tarun for preparing the materials and helping me to conduct the mechanical experiments. Step by step guidance by him helped me in developing mechanical skills with safety. Thanks to all the staffs of Top Glove for always being kind and friendly to me. Thank you for providing me a comfortable and warm environment throughout the whole internship. Through this industrial training, I can enhance and develop my soft skills including communication skills, time management skills and interpersonal skills.

In a nutshell, I would like to give special thanks to my family, friends and my housemate for their continuous support and understanding during my industrial training at Top Glove. In order to achieve the target under pressure, it would be somehow challenging to work in an internship engineering area, but their support and encouragement had helped me face the difficulties that I faced with more patients and positive mind. To my best gratitude, I have received and sending lots of concern during the virus outbreak. Thank you for everything :)

SMJC-1213 Thermodynamic is one of the most interesting subjects that I had learnt in my semester 2 in UTMKL.  In this course, I have learnt some knowledge about the basic concept of thermodynamics, entropy, first law and the second law of thermodynamics, ideal vapour and combined power cycle and refrigeration cycle.

During this course, we are separated into groups and asked to conduct a project. The purpose of conducting this report is to let us apply the knowledge that we learnt in real life situation. Since our project's theme is about mass conservation law on saving energy to save the world, my teammate and I did research on this project and distribute the tasks evenly.

During the research, my teammate and I were facing and going to stuck with some problems. Without giving up, we tried to ask our lecturers for more details about our topic of the project. In addition, we were busy preparing our tests and projects for other subjects thus bringing about no much time for us to produce the better work. Sometimes, we spent our sleeping time to accomplish the project. 

In a nutshell, I would like to say thank you to our both lecturer, Dr Nabilah and Prof. Goto, who have guiding us and giving lecturer throughout this semester. Without their patient and caring, we will not understand this subject so thoroughly. I felt very thanksgiving to my teammate in completing the project together.
