REPORT:

CURRENT ISSUE; BORING LEARNING SYSTEMS IN MALAYSIA AND THE SOLUTIONS

I do research in a book titled “Theories of learning and learning in school policy” which was published in the year 2013, postings and work by Dr. Ahmad Susanto. M. Pd from across Indonesia. After my review based on my reading of, the words “learn" means changes in behaviour at the individual self as a result of interaction between individuals with other individuals with the hope that in order to be better able to interact with successful.

      Meanwhile, the result of my reading in the same book, according to E.R. Hilgard (1962) said that learning is a change in the Group's reaction to human activities. Changes the intended activities are an integral knowledge, efficiency, behaviour, and this can be gained from the experience. Hilgard also pointed out that learning is a process of knowledge happens in a person through training, familiarisation and others.

      Therefore, in my investigations based on my inquiries at several partner universities and some cousin of mine who still study at primary school level, I try to ask about a question that is, “Does education system in Malaysia fun?", and three of two replied that education system here is not very eye-catching or other words is boring. Thus, I will describe some of the issues of learning problems in Malaysia and ways of solution.

      There are several issues why the existence of the way the teacher teaches until it can cultivate students bored when studying. The first is the way teachers teach that still use the one-way learning systems. Past students probably already familiar with the system but until when the teacher necessary to maintain the way they teach? Maybe that way can be used but in 20 years ago. Now, the thought of students has changed along with the technological revolution. When the way one-way learning happens, teachers who lazy to ask do them understand what they learn, the teacher may assume that their responsibilities are finished but what would be happen to the students in education?

      The second problem was the thought of teachers which reflects all students are at the same level of thinking that is the same level of their expertise. This thought should be removed in the next generation of teachers now because this thought capable of giving enormous adverse impacts to the society and the nation as well as on the students themselves.

“O people, we created you from a male and a female made you a nations and tribes so that you may know each other. Indeed, the people who are honourable among you towards Allah are the people who are most afraid among you to Allah. Indeed, Allah the all-knowing and the most identify.”

                                                                          (Surah Al-Hujuraat: verse 13)

      It is clear in the Quran; God says he created us from many kinds of human males and females. God also explains that he has created different races for us to mutually recognize and understand the race. Therefore, God has created us from human beings who have varying degrees of knowledge and ways of thinking that differ. So a teacher should be sensitive to the level of students ' thinking whether he was clever or weak in their studies.

      In addition, on March 3 2016, source of newspaper “Berita Harian”, written by Zanirah Abd Mutalib. Stated in the title “Descending percentage of SPM 2015". In the year 2015, a total of 9,721 students get excellent results in all subjects compared to candidate at 2014, 11,289 students get all A’s in every subjects. The Director-General of Education, Datuk Dr. Khair Mohamed Yusof stated that the National Average Grade for SPM in year 2015 also declined to 5.15% than in 5.08% in year 2014. This showed that the level of learning in the year 2015 were less effective to the students. So, the teachers have to find another way to improve how to give education on students.

      In the meantime, there are many ways that can be done by teachers and lecturers to entice students to learn no matter in whatever level of primary, secondary and university levels. If this is to be run, I am confident that the issue be bored in learning will not be a significant title in our country. Therefore, I will explain some proposed solutions to this issue.

          The first solution is, all teachers and lecturers should adopt a two-way learning system. For example, in the classroom teachers and lecturers should be frequently asked students whether they understand about what have been taught. Other than that, the teachers also must always give way to the students to give their ideas and reviews respectively. Thus, group activities also strongly encouraged so that the attitude of the

leadership and cooperation will exist in their lives. As a result of this point, a boring in class will be fun and energetic to students and they are not sleepy in class.

      Articles news from “Utusan Online” written by Dr. Hayati Ismail, January 15 2018 stating the articles title is “Learning system in 21^st century ". As a result of my reading, what can be states from these articles, Minister of Education Datuk Seri Mahdzir khalis has told that the class 21st century learning will be implemented around 2000 schools included in urban and rural areas. Hear about learning 21st century, surely we thought that learning with high technology. Actually it's more to collaborative learning, creative, critical thinking and communication.

      So in my second opinion based on the statement above, teacher need to teach student about the creativity in learning. Teacher need to teach students that they need to work smarter ways than works with hard way. Critical thinking also needs to be implementing to all students such as ask them about their thought and opinion. Indeed, the can develop a higher critical thinking and they can make a thought wisely.

      In addition, teachers also need to involve actual experiences. Students who exposed with the actual experience will be more focused and understand compared to students who only learn in theory alone-points. According to the articles of pendidik2u.my, this means more effective particularly for generations who only know something on the fingertips.

      Moreover, teachers who provide rewards to attract students can also apply in education because this is one of the techniques that are effective for students. The reward is not necessarily in the form of material, it can also be given with oral forms such as positive praise. To make compliments to the students, in terms of psychology, student’s brain would be happier and keep them will interest to learn. Not only praise should be given to the students, but the words of the spirit can also be practised by each teacher. That is why learning in the 21^st century must be prepared properly. When it is positive, then the students with less confident in themselves are a passion to learn.

      Colourful material very suitable for classroom to attract students. Colourful class able to impress students to having fun in their class. Not only beautiful but also classes so that the students always should clean comfortable in class on a daily basis.

On my last opinion, use specific everyday materials. An easy way to connect to what they are being taught is to talk about how they can apply material in real life. Suggests that teacher need to demonstrate how students can apply the subject such as mathematics concept to help them manage their time and money.

      In reflection, I estimate that the learning system in our country its best level. but at the same time there are still weak and need to be improved. Teachers and lecturers should learn the background of their students so that it would be fair. Give full attention to the job is a big responsibility because it involves the halal and haram

      In addition, the Prophet Muhammad once said works are to be granted by is is a noble worship. But even though we worked hard without any system as pre-requisite of heart and soul, it becomes a useless besides Allah. teaching is not a playground but it is a job that can compose the future students. If we are successfully educating students to more focused in their studies, by Allah's will our country forward from the point of thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship.

      Therefore let us together we can change the way our thinking not only of parents and teachers, but the students also need to change the way they think several increasingly critical that all problems have solutions that are accurate. In cases of my review, I need to require teachers and students need to work together and always communicate well so that we can build a strong level of communication.
