Reflection
We have been given a task to do as a group of four people. There are Amir Najwan, Fatin Afiqah, Nuriffatish Shima and me. The task is to do a survey based on the topics that we have learned. The task had been given to us ever since the first day of our 2nd Semester. That was before the Movement Control Order(MCO) was announced, so we thought we have plenty of time to do the project together. We had our first meeting on 27th February 2020 and it was a Face to Face meeting, I never thought that Face to Face meeting is easier and less problem for us in communicating and sharing ideas because after the MCO was announced, we had to do our meeting online and it is difficult. However, that is not the only thing that I have learned throughout the project, there are many new things I discover and learn.
First and foremost, for this project, we are conducting the survey using an electronic form which is the Google Form. I took this opportunity and I decided to do the survey form. I have never done it before so it was quite interesting for me to do it. Besides, this project main purposes is for us to learn how to read, analyze and discuss a data. After receiving about 105 respondents, we start analyzing the data and associate it with our topic which is the Usage of a Smartphone User. It was quite confusing at first because of the myriad of answers of the respondents. However, we were told to use R Studio to analyze the data in a more professional way. R Studio is hard to learn, the coding is different from what I have learn from C++. Because of this, we thought we were running out of time, but gratefully the due date was postponed twice. Maybe our lecturer understands us that it was hard for us to communicate with our group members. Therefore, we fix our schedule and decided to separate work for each one of us, and it is going so well since then.
I really appreciate having a group with amazing members. Each one of them really put their maximum efforts for this project. I admit that it was a bit difficult for us to communicate at first because we were not close before. Additionally, there are girls in my group and I am actually having trouble communicating with a girl. However, because of this project and this group, I am improving my communication skills and our bond with the group members are stronger now. Furthermore, as I said that there were girls in my group, it is also an advantage for our group because we can share different ideas from multiple perspectives.
To put in a conclusion, I want to thanks Dr Chan Weng Howe for guiding us with our project. It was a great experience for me to be doing this project despite the pandemic Covid19 that is still happening today. Because of it, I experience a whole new way of learning and meeting through online and it gave me a sense of responsibility to keep on going without any excuses.
