REPORT ACTIVITY NO.3

Sports Month is an annual program organised by Persatuan Mahasiswa Hindu UTM. It was conducted virtually this year. The theme of Sports Month 2022 was "Strengthen Unity through Sports". The objective of the program was to encourage students to involve themselves more in sports activities during the pandemic. 

Many competitions were carried out in this program for university students and the public to participate. This program was held for a month and two weeks which includes the registration period for participants and also the contest period. This program created a platform for local and international university students all over Malaysia to participate and show their talent in sports. 

This program had a positive impact on our participants since they could engage in sports activities during this pandemic. Even though it is difficult to organise a sports-based program virtually, our team did our best to bring participants from all universities and we managed to make this program success thus achieving our objectives. 

This program is a whole new experience for me. It is my first time becoming a program director. I did not reject this opportunity when I got this because I really wanted to try my best here. It was a great opportunity for me to assess myself. Since it is an online program, it has its own challenges. I was very careful not to make mistakes but they do happen and teach us a lesson so that we would improve on them. 

This journey as a program director was full of ups and downs. I had to keep my team united so that we could work in a smooth flow. When we plan a few things in our program, they will go in our way always. Whenever there was a step back, I had to think carefully before taking the next step but at the same time, I have to use my leadership skills so that my team believe in the decisions I'm taking throughout this program. 

I would imply all the experience and learnings in the future. I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
