I get my AWS Badge in DEC 2022, so lets see the journey i get the badge. In my TIS (Technology and Infomation System) course, I have a 8 marks assignment which want me to complete the AWS Academy Cloud Foundations. So after my Lecturer Dr Halinawati register an account for me, I start my AWS Academy Cloud Foundations. Actually when I open the webside, I was shock because there are 10 module for me to complete, but its actually not that hard to finish it. I complete 1 module one or two module per week, then I finish it after 8 week i start. The video is good and its easy to understand but sometimes also need to rewatch for deep understanding.

Reflection

A summary of what you have gained from completing the course (get a badge)

After IR4.0, cloud computing is become more and more important. After I joining and complete the AWS Academy Cloud Foundations I know more about the cloud computing and its advantage. The Aws video also talk about how they calculate the price for different service and how the service work. Next in module 4,5  I learn how to use the IAM, build my VPC using Amazon web service. Beside of these I still gain a lot after I complete the course. I think these knowledge will help me to survive in the future and if I want to start my own business, Amazon Web Service will help a lot in reducing the expence,  and using its service.

Your motivation to complete this project?

My motivation to complete this project is to learn about new knowledge and AWS Academy Cloud Foundations course is funny and easy to understand. But my main motivation is to get the 8% marks LOL.

Your opinion whether getting the badge is easy or difficult? Which modul is the easiest/most difficult

The easiest module is module 1, I think nobody will disagree with this. Because the module 1 is just simply introduce about the AWS. For the most difficult module, I will give it to module 6. This module is talking about the VPC, in this module I need to rewatch many time to understand what he was talking about and I didn’t heard about VPC before taking this course.

What’s a badge worth?

The badge represent that I finish the AWS Academy Cloud Foundations and Its also mean that l learn some new things.

Feedback whether getting the badge improve your knowledge and skills on Cloud Computing

Yes of course, I learn a lot from the AWS, for example we’ve been ask to finish the lab activity in some of the module and I learn a lot of skill from the lab such as build our own VPC and use the IAM. This knowledge and skill will help a lot after I graduate from UTM.

Your opinion whether every company should shift to Cloud Computing?

Yes, in my opinion, every company should shift to Cloud Computing because cloud computing bring a lot of advantages such as saving space, time , convenience, and money. For example, a traditional company will have their own server and the server is very expensive, but if the company use cloud computing, they no need to buy the expensive server and no need to prepare a wide space to put the server. When they wanted to move the company to other place they can just carry their computer to the new location.

Your opinion whether every computer science/UTM student should learn Cloud Computing (get the AWS badge?).

Yes, I am strongly agree that UTM student and every computer science student should join the AWS course because it will be a foundation (knowledge about cloud computing) when you want to study more about the cloud computing.
