Course Outline
- This course discusses the philosophy of UTM and philosophy of science and the realignment towards the sustainable economy; analyze and evaluate the current understanding of sustainable economy and how modern economic growth reflects the sustainable economy.
- Understanding the meaning of economic well-being and sustainable development by looking at the issue from different religious perspectives.
- Introducing the Islamic economic system as an alternative for sustainability by assessing the Islamic Economy institutions in the context of modern society such as Islamic Philanthropy, Islamic Banking and Finance, Zakat, Halal-hub as well as Islamic Investment.
- This course involves collaborative based learning and blended learning as well as incorporating elements of personal and ethical skills and professionalism.
