1) There are five types if graphics in specialized application software which is desktop publishing, image editors, illustration programs, image galleries and graphic suites. Desktop publishing is the production of printed matter by means of a printer linked to a desktop computer with special software, popular programs such as Adobe inDesign, Microsoft Publisher, QuarkXPress. Image editors is a software that allows images to be edited and also converted to different graphical formats. Illustration programs is the use of digital tools to produce images under the direct manipulation of the artist, usually through a pointing device such as mouse. Image galleries is a libraries full of electronic images. Graphics suites is a software suite for graphics work that are distributed together.
2) Audio editing software is software which allows editing and generating audio data. Audio editing software can be implemented completely or partly as library, as Web application, or as a loadable kernel module. Video editing software is an application program which handle the post production video editing of digital video sequences on a computer non-linear editing system (NLE).
3) Multimedia is content that uses a combination of different content forms such as text, audio, images animations, video and interactive content. Interactivity is the ability of a computer to respond to a computer's input. Authoring programs is a program that has pre-programmed elements for the development of interactive multimedia software tiles. Authoring systems can be defined as software that allows its user to create multimedia for manipulating multimedia objects.
4) Web authoring is the practice of creating web documents using modern web authoring software and tools. Web site design encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. Flash is a popular authoring software developed by Macromedia is used to create vector graphics-based animations programs with full screen navigation interfaces, graphic illustrations. Web page editor is a software used to create and change Web pages (HTML-based documents). A WYSIWYG editor editor or program is one that allows a developer to see what the end result will look like while the interface or document is being created.
6) Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer program or a machine to think and learn. Virtual reality is the computer-generated simulation of a three dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way by a person using special electronic equipment. An immersive experiences is an illusory environment that completely surrounds you such that you feel that you are inside it and part of it. A knowledge-based system is a computer program that reasons and uses a knowledge base to solve complex problems. Fuzzy logic is a form of many-valued logic in which the truth values of variables may be any real number between 0 and 1. Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with design construction, operation and application of robots. Four types of robots are the perception system robots, Industrial robots, Mobile robots, Household robots.

What can i conclude from this chapter is this chapter explains a lot about specialized application software. There are five types if graphics in specialized application software which is desktop publishing, image editors, illustration programs, image galleries and graphic suites. We can use this app or software if we want to edit video or pictures and it is so convenient for producer and editor.
