Reflection
When the task was given to the class, I felt relief that the project title can be anything. So after some brainstorming with my teammate, we decided to pick the gaming-related title as it is the topic that we are familiar with. We choose the topic gaming to prove that society's stigma regarding gaming can affect study is false.
After carefully revise and planned out about the assessment, my group and I start collecting the data required through the method that is an online survey or to be exact, Google Form. This method is proved to be easier and faster than asking the question face to face. Although the survey was hand out to multiple Whatsapp groups, I am actually disappointed that we barely managed to collect 50 respondents. But it is better than nothing, so we carried on to the next stage of the assessment which is to study the collected data using the appropriate measure that we learned during class.
We divided the task between our group members to make the work more effective. Throughout this assessment, I have learned how to utilize the R programming language to generate the data graphical representation. By inserting an excel file, and some lines of code, the program produces the graph that we needed. Besides, this assessment also helps me to revise what I have learned in class. For example how to create a histogram, boxplot, etc. Although the COVID-19 and MCO limited our working effort, my group and I, managed to adapt and can still do the discussion using Whatsapp and Discord. The hardest part for me is recording my part for the presentation as I am not familiar with it. We decided to record our voice in the PowerPoint slide. Thanks to our leader, Rakesh managed to compile the video and thus completed the assessment
In conclusion, this project overall helps me to identify my weakness in the statistical field. I sincerely want to thank my lecturer, Dr. Chan Weng Howe for the constant support and help from him in finishing this assessment.
