     Latiff Cyrano, 37 and a father of four was a first officer and one of the three pilots in the cockpit of SQ006, Boeing 747-412 jet that crashed on a fateful rainy night at Taiwan’s Chiang Kai-Shek airport on 31 October, 2000. Captain Latiff Cyrano had 2,442 total flight hours, including 552 hours on Boeing 747-400. On 31 October 2000, the accident involved flight SQ006/SIA006 from Singapore Changi Airport to Los Angeles International Airport via Taiwan. It happened at the Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport (renamed Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport), Taipei, Taiwan. When the flight was about to take-off from runway 05L, it accidentally entered another runway (05R) which was under construction during a typhoon. The aircraft crashed into construction equipment on the runway, killing 81 of the 179 occupants aboard. Ninety-eight initially survived the impact, but two passengers died later from injuries in a hospital.

In this case, Begins with noting the warning sign of the crisis but this case is unique because its almost consist of zero symptoms. In this case, bad weather was the main problem. China Airline aircraft took off successfully 15 minutes before the crush. However it was confirmed by the SIA that the cross wind at that time was more than 15 knots.  Next step, the SIA was well prepared for an unwanted event or crisis -learnt from the crash of the Silk Air which was due to the pilot’s psychological traumas. After the news of the SIA crash reached the CEO he rushed to Taipei where he was in a meeting to supervise the crisis plan and became the spokesperson to correct any wrong information released by the press. Next, helped survivors and relative by giving medical cares and etc. Responsive by flying trauma counsellors to assist survivors. Lastly, install a better system on their aircraft to help pilot identify runways.
