Being a third-year student, I see that the activities that UTM has set for us are one of the most important programs that help us reap a great benefit, prepare for our professional life and develop many graduate attributes, especially since they provide many activities and students can choose from them according to their desires and preferences, but the attendance must be Weekly-Activities basis to enable graduation in order to ensure that students are ready to continue their academic careers.
Although Covid has greatly affected these activities, UTM made sure to hold these activities in the form of online meetings.
Frankly, in the beginning, we opposed the idea of ??weekly activities a lot and created a lot of posts to cancel them, as we were afraid that these activities would take a lot of our time and affect our study times, but after the experiment, we found that they only take a little of our time in exchange for a lot of benefits, so I thank UTM for their keenness.
At this event, all students from the School of Computing are gathered in DK8 hall in N24.
We were given a brief explanation of the UTM co-curriculum day from the perspective of our lecturers. As previously stated, the purpose of UTM co-curricular day is to provide us with more opportunities to graduate. However, during this meeting, the lecturers provided more specific information about how the program will operate throughout the semester. They also mentioned that it is a required subject for the following semester and any attendance below a certain level may result in a grade reduction.
In the other words, starting from semester 2019-2020, all students who did not register for the normal 2 credit Co-Curriculum program, must join the Co-Curriculum activities that are organized by UTM every Tuesday from 2 pm until 11 pm.
