A. A summary of what you have gained from completing the course (get a badge)

The process of earning the AWS badge has been both intriguing and hard for me, as I've learned to effectively organize my time so that I can finish all 10 modules in the allotted time. Here, I was introduced to a new atmosphere where I learned more about cloud computing, which is a type of IT infrastructure service that is used and benefited by businesses today. I couldn't identify why I wanted to get the AWS badge at first, but as time went on, I discovered I was growing more interested in AWS and its significance in the IT industry. For instance, I discovered that AWS can provide a scalable, highly reliable infrastructure with cheap maintenance costs because you only pay for what you use. Most businesses will gain from this since they will save money and time by not having to make huge upfront expenditures in hardware and will not have to hire workers to supervise them. Additionally, I began my first module in early December 2021, during the mid-term holiday week, and I encouraged my friend, Nadia Syafiqah, to join me so that we could both gain information and make the most of our free time. My modules, which included quizzes and labs, took roughly three weeks to complete. I like how the lecturers explained AWS modules to us in greater detail as the knowledge delivered was more precise.

B. Your motivation to complete this project?

My motivation to complete this project was my eagerness and curiosity to learn about cloud computing in AWS because I want to grasp the facts and knowledge, so I can get the idea of inventing a platform with a great security system and various infrastructure that can fully fulfill the needs of every company.   

C. Your opinion on whether getting the badge is easy or difficult? Which module is the easiest/most difficult

In my opinion, obtaining the badge is moderate because the instructors will walk you through all ten modules by providing a clear view through videos that contain console demonstrations, therefore I believe that we will have a surplus of information regarding the AWS system. However, I believe the most difficult part will be for you to memorize all of the information in a short period of time, so it will take some time for you to fully grasp every IT infrastructure, and you will be given a module knowledge check in each of the ten modules where you can test your knowledge and determine your level of understanding.

D. What’s a badge worth?

The badge is a symbol of your hard work and passion to succeed in understanding the content of AWS and being able to create a system that can help businesses to develop more.

E. Feedback whether getting the badge improve your knowledge and skills on Cloud Computing

Yes, I had no idea what cloud computing was at first, but because to this chance, I now have a basic understanding of how it works and the benefits of cloud computing. Furthermore, by attending this training, I was able to expand my limited knowledge and experiences. I feel that mastering the principles of cloud computing is required to flourish in the IT world.

F. Your opinion on whether every company should shift to Cloud Computing?

In my opinion, it’s not compulsory for every company to shift to Cloud Computing but it is preferable for them to change to Cloud Computing as the system provided and infrastructure are very efficient and cost-saving options. Since they already have a secured system and do not need to invest time and money on services that will not be used at all if the enterprises chose to switch to Cloud Computing, they can focus more on the development of the businesses.

G. Your opinion on whether every computer science/UTM student should learn Cloud Computing (get the AWS badge?)

It is compulsory for every computer science or even UTM student to grab the chance to learn about Cloud Computing because our university already provided the course and opened the chance for you. Here, you can learn the course without paying any fee and flexible your way of learning which are the benefits to them. Furthermore, students should have a better grasp of how to use cloud computing to its full potential for progress, because when employers hire them in the future, they will be capable of developing organizations and serving the best of them to improve data management.

H. Any advice to your friends who have not get the AWS badge yet?

I would encourage them to obtain the AWS badge by emphasizing the advantages of learning about cloud computing. Furthermore, it is well worth the effort for students to complete the course despite their rigorous schedule of projects and tests. I would advise them to seize any opportunity that will provide them with fresh knowledge, skills, and situations, so that they will be ready to handle a variety of unforeseen IT challenges in the future.

I. What is your direction after completing the badge?

I want to learn more about the IT sector and master my course so that I may obtain a lot of experience throughout the years and broaden my work prospects in a different profession. 

J. Your opinion about getting the AWS badge that is included in SECP1513 subject

In my opinion, getting the AWS badge that is included in the SECP1513 subject is one advantage for me to further develop my thinking and understanding about my course. The AWS badge achievement means a lot to me since I consider it to be the beginning of my professional path in the field of IT, and as I am satisfied with being able to accomplish the course within the period time that was assigned to me. Thus, it also offers me a broad concept of what future positions that I can enroll in will look like.
