Reflection
First and foremost, I would like to show my gratitude for being a student of this SECI2143: Probability Statistical & Data Analysis course by making this reflection. I personally have a high interest in this course as it involves a lot of data management and analysis. Before we were assigned to do Project 2: Inferential Statistical Data Analysis, we were appointed to do Project 1: Descriptive Statistical Data Analysis.
Briefly, in Project 1, we were asked to perform a data collection. We had to decide on a topic survey of interest and make questions out of it. The questions were linked to the level of measurements, likewise from the data collected we had to produce graphical data statistics such as histograms, boxplot, pie charts, bar charts and what not to explain about the survey we had done.
As for Project 2, we had to perform an inferential statistical data analysis. It involved secondary data retrieval, thus we looked on internet for a secondary data that met our requirements and interest. From the dataset we chose, we analysed it by using RStudio. The utilization of RStudio were all depend on the inferential test and analysis we proposed. The results we obtained were both numerical and graphical, thus that satisfied our main objective on conducting this research.
In Project 2, we proposed four different types of tests and analysis in which one of the tests was performed by me. The test I did was 2-Sample Hypothesis Testing. Before performing the test on RStudio, I had to watch a several of tutorial videos on YouTube to let me actually understand on how should I apply the syntax and what not. I had to really understand the steps of calculation before getting the value I desired which was t-critical value. The t-value was crucial as it was the proof to determine whether or not I could reject the null hypothesis in the hypothesis statement I made.
There were several of challenges of me and my groupmates had to confront. The toughest challenge of all was that we did not really get to spend much time on looking the perfect dataset. That resulted to where we lacked of reliable sources and that certainly put us on struggle to find the perfect output and result. We had to have a deep meeting and discussion to fix the dataset so that it could become usable to the RStudio. With this being said, I was so grateful to have such committed and highly dedicated groupmates. Special thanks and recognition to my groupmates, Nur Immal Hayati, Muhammad Izat and Ahmad Mirza.
Last but not least, I really want to personally thank Dr. Azurah. Without Dr. Azurah we could not perform this project. Dr. Azurah gave us such a wonderful and helpful guidance in finishing this assessment. Not to mention that Dr. Azurah had a high tolerance and sympathy towards her students. Dr. Azurah even prepared us a slide on how and what should we include in the report as well as in the demonstration video. Considering that the project was a lot lengthy and multistep, we eventually got to come up with our results.
