Mini Report

"Chit Chat With Hewi," with its theme of "Taaruf Antara Mahasiswi" (Getting to Know Fellow Female Students), stands as a dynamic program crafted to warmly welcome and guide new female students into the university community. The panel of speakers is an alumni from UTM, who also hold the esteemed position of being former members of PMI UTM. Her dual identity as both alumni and former PMI UTM member allows her to share valuable insights and experiences, creating a connection with the participants.

The primary aim is to instill a passion for learning while fostering a balanced approach to both worldly and spiritual aspects of life. The program strategically connects participants with successful alumni, offering valuable insights for a fulfilling university journey.

Aligned with the university's graduate attributes, we focused on building students' ability to adapt and stay strong in the face of challenges. The program is designed to equip students with not only academic knowledge but also the practical skills and mindset needed to navigate the dynamic nature of university life. This involves honing problem-solving skills, staying open to new ideas, and feeling confident when faced with unexpected challenges.

The outcome of this program is to be able to spark fresh enthusiasm and determination in the participants as they embark on their journey as university students.

Self-Reflection

As a director, leading this program was a great and positive experience. I improved my communication with committee members and became more comfortable talking to people. Organizing things turned out to be a strength of mine, making the whole program run smoothly. Challenges like sorting out schedules and dealing with surprises came up, but I handled them by being flexible and making quick decisions.

I gained leadership and problem-solving skills through preparation before and during the program. Before the program, planning and organizing tasks honed my ability to take charge and coordinate effectively.  During the program, I handled the program with a readiness to tackle any challenges or problems that might arise. Being mentally prepared to face uncertainties helped in maintaining composure, making quick decisions, and finding effective solutions.

The program went well without any issues, and everything turned out successful. However, before the program started, there were some challenges. I had to keep pushing and encouraging the team members to do their tasks because things were moving slowly. Despite the initial struggles, everyone eventually pitched in, and the program turned out to be a success. This experience taught me the importance of staying on top of things and motivating the team, and it helped me learn more about leading and working with a group.
