Mini Report
"Open Day Resak 23" was a fun event organized by the KTDI College committee. The event's charm lay in the diverse range of activities it offered. Everyone had the chance to engage in enlightening talk sessions, showcase their culinary creativity in a cooking competition, experience a thrilling adventure in a haunted house, and many more.
The main purpose of the event was to let college students take part in and enjoy activities at UTM. It aimed to add excitement and joy to their college experience, not just studying. The event creates a more vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere for students, encouraging them to engage in different activities and make the most of their time at UTM.
Different activities contribute to the development of various graduate attributes. Taking part in the cooking competition, for instance, not only allows students to showcase their culinary skills but also brings out qualities like creativity and teamwork.
The achievement of the event was in getting college students actively involved in UTM activities. It created a sense of community and improved their personal and social skills.
Self-Reflection
Participating as a committee member in the event was a great experience filled with both challenges and accomplishments. The opportunity to contribute to the organization and execution of activities fostered a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
Engaging in the event allowed me to enhance my communication skills as I collaborated with fellow committee members and participants. Being part of the planning process provided insights into effective coordination and organization, contributing to my development in event management.
We had a tough time with the cooking competition because there were not enough participants. It was almost cancelled, but we didn't want all the preparation and things to go to waste. So, we worked hard to find more people to join. After putting in a lot of effort, we finally got enough participants, and the cooking competition happened successfully.
For self-improvement, I aspire to further develop teamwork skills and enhance time management. Reflecting on the experience, I believe continuous learning and proactive engagement will contribute to my personal and professional development in future committee roles. Also when things get tough, it's important to keep trying and find solutions together.
