I'm now in the first-year of my study at University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) majoring in Data Engineering (Bachelor of Computer Science(Data Engineering) with Honours).

AWS journey
For this course, we are required to complete Amazon Cloud Services modules within the time allocated to get an AWS badge. To summarize what i gained from this module, I would like to start by telling how my AWS journey begun.
It all started when my lecturer remind us for around the 2nd time to start our AWS module, and that was the first time I open the dashboard. At first glance, this module seems super boring since all it contains are lengthy video and some lab task, and that was the first time I felt so wrong about something in my life. The video provided are very informative , the lab task are challenging in a fun way and the test are repeatable until we managed to get a proper score. Never in my life I felt so fulfilled doing a classwork while keep on absorbing knowledge on AWS such as the cloud services provided, its benefit, and how a company should use it.
I was fueled with curiosity in completing this project as my thirst to know more cannot be quenched during that particular moment. Honestly , at this point, getting the badge was the last thing on my list, but the satisfactory feeling when completed the modules is real and I do find it enjoyable rather than difficult. In my opinion, the badge does not really worth much unless you are able to apply the services provided on your own., also, the journey on getting this badge do improve my knowledge on Cloud Computing since i do learn a lot of things from the module.
In my opinion, all big companies should really shift to cloud computing for one main reason, it is cost efficient. Certainly, it is flexible and secure, but as a future businessman, I do believe that the main thing in business is how well you handle the cash flows and profit-credit management. I also do think that every student should learn the AWS modules for future uses as I am sure there are many student who want to be involved in the digitalization era, and this module give the best insight and first step on that topic. To those who not yet get your AWS badge, don't focus on how long the road is, but focus on the satisfaction that awaits you at your destination. For my next step, I want to indulge myself in data centered programming language to help me combine what I learned in AWS module about data storage servers.
Lastly, I do glad that this course, SECP1513 have this module in the syllabus, it give fresh insight and future planning idea on what I need to increase my value in the job market after I graduate. In addition, something hands on like this is more towards my style than just listening to the lecture in Gmeet. Therefore, thank you for including this module in the course.

a. What is your goal/dream concerning your course/program?
Honestly, my goal is none other than to be not just financial stable, but also living in wealth, surrounded by things that help me grow my finances. In my opinion, this entire program is my platform to help me develop the skills I need to build my wealth in the future. Even if it is hard right now, and it's get even harder with online learning, I am going to do my best, to optimizes the benefits I can gained from both this course and program to secure all I need to build my wealth in the future.
b. What is the action/improvement/plan necessary for you to improve your
potential in the industry
I do believe that I need to further enhance my hard skill to increase my value to the current job market since my current skills are pretty much a novice. Therefore, I do plan to join as many event and program as possible to helps my personal development such as programming and data analysis. Besides, I want to work on my soft skills too along the way such as being a team player, communicator and leader since there are still lots of flaw I need to fix before I can convince, supervise and work with others.
c. Your opinion on whether this subject contributes to your knowledge on specific
area?
In my opinion, this course has help me widen my knowledge on certain information technology and system such as the AWS cloud framework, the industries demand and also the path needed to be taken to develop myself on certain field, thanks to all the industrial talks. It is really helpful to have this type of session where I can learn outside of syllabus and venture on new things, which help me discover which path is best taken to pursue my goals.
d. Acknowledgement for your lecturer
First and foremost, I have nothing but gratitude to express to my lecturer, Dr Izyan Izzati binti Kamsani, for teaching us this subject for this semester. Honestly, her high energy output and friendly nature always affect my energy saving life, making me giving my 100% at anything I'm doing. Self reflection :
During the event of Compfair'23, I have learnt about how far I need to learn to be able to be a functional member of the programming society. While learning in depth detail about my future job scope, I met many future employer with possible interest in the same subject and mindset as mine .To further develop my connection, I manage to express myself favorably to them and learn more on what I need to improve to impress them better. Lastly, I learn to succeed in this field, out of classroom lesson and knowledge are needed to develop my uniqueness to market myself.

The programme CompFair 2021 was held from 23 November to 26 November 2021 via online, and one of the session featured is Mental Health Talk with Dr Zulfikar bin Ahmad. In this session, I was the moderator for the talk and responsible to become an intermediatory between the speaker and viewer and also part of the committee for the session.
Self reflection :
During the preparation for the session , I learned a lot about how to effectively control the flow of conversation and topic to ensure smooth progress on the day of the event, which greatly enhance my communication skills. Another thing I learned during the preparation phase is how to function as a team, mainly understanding the orders given and act accordingly, providing assistance and opinion while actively engaging with the team. During the session, I learned how to adapt to last minute changes proficiently while ensuring the talk still going, which requires me to think critically on how to manage the stages, greatly enhance my adaptability and thinking skills.
SECI2143, Probability and Statistical Data Analysis, for me, is a subjects that helps me build an understanding on what makes the basic of a data engineer, which is data analysis itself, this is because, most of the time, data analysis is a process that is complex and require a lot of skills to interpret the message behind the big bunch of value give to us. This course helps me focus on finding the best way to find the meaning behind the data given through sets of skills provided, including data collecting and inferential analysis. Most may find all this courses as tiring, but I do enjoy this type of lesson more compared to computer related subject, most probably because I do not have any background in computer science and I enjoy calculation more than computer theory.
From the assessment perspective, this course has quite a lot of task needed to be done in groups, and thankfully, my team member consist of highly functional and intelligent people. Most of the assignment are relatively challenging but still doable, but the project is another story. There are 2 project that we are required to be done in this course, where the first one consist of data gathering and analyzing the data through descriptive statistic, where we interpret data using visual method, such as graphical representations including chart and graph. On the other hand, for project 2, we indulge more on the practicality of inferential statistic, which require us to perform hypothesis testing, correlation and regression test and other test such as chi square and ANOVA. This project does test our understanding on the lesson since we need to search for a dataset ourselves, and it has been fun to explore how to conduct these tests using statistical tools which is R programming. From this 2 project, I have learnt a lot about how to properly select or gather a dataset, clean it and ensure that it is usable and can be interpret. other than that, I do learn more on people management skills as I learn more about my teammates, since they are also packed with their own schedule, we begin to interact more and divide the task equally so that we may complete it on the due date. If any member face any problem, everyone will lend a hand.
Finally, I do wish to say thank you very much to my lecturer, Dr Nor Azizah Ali for teaching me this subject for this semester, and I wish to apologize for all my shortcoming while I was under your guidance.
