OPERA'18
The impact of the activities on the development of the students’ Graduate Attributes are increasing communication skills, thinking skills, leadership, and teamwork skills. When I joined the activities, I am required to work in a group of four to make our way through each checkpoint to win the race. This requirement indirectly has increased my communication skills because I need to discuss our strategy to pass each checkpoint in a short period of time with my team member. It also increased my thinking skills because each checkpoint has an activity that needs us to think of a way to pass it. Last but not least, it also increased my teamwork skills. The race is a team race, so we need to work together as a team to finished and win the race. My team member and I have worked together and manage to get 4th place. This has taught me a way to work efficiently as a group.
Justification in joining the activities
On 18 October 2018, Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail committee has an event called Open Day Resak 2018 or OPERA'18. These events consist of many activities such as explore race, online gaming competition, and shows. I have joined one of the activities which is the explore race. I joined this with my three other friends but unfortunately, we don't win the race. But I have realized that this activity brings many benefits to me. The Graduate Attributes that are focused on this activity are communication skills, thinking skills, and leadership and teamwork skills. The activity start at 9.00 am and ended at approximately 12.00 pm when all of the group are finished the race. There are 8 groups that compete in the race and 8 checkpoints that must be finished by all groups. The race started when each group is put on each different checkpoint. The group must complete the game in each checkpoint to win the game.
