On November 26, 2022, Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (PERSAKA UTM) organized a physical program called 'Code On Weekend: Python' at MP1, N28A, Faculty of Computing. The workshop aimed to introduce Python coding to students, particularly those in the Faculty of Computing, with a specific focus on Software Engineering.
Python, being the most popular and widely used programming language, was chosen for its simplicity and versatility. Participants were guided through various case studies, ranging from basic calculations to machine learning, showcasing Python's applicability in real-world scenarios.
The workshop spanned a total of 3 hours, with the first 2 hours and 30 minutes dedicated to the trainer's instruction, and the remaining hour allocated for questions and answers. The event commenced at 10:00 a.m. with an introduction by the emcee, providing an overview of the workshop and introducing the mentors to the participants.
During the workshop, participants learned the fundamental principles of Python programming and were exposed to practical examples such as graph plotting, applying Scipy for scientific operations, and utilizing the Numpy library. The event was well-executed, and participants gained valuable knowledge and insights.
