The Chinese New Year Celebration Activity of Kelab Bahasa Mandarin Session 2022/2023 Semester II was an exciting event organized by UTM Mandarin Club to celebrate the sixth Lunar New Year, "Year Of Rabbit - The Commence." Held on 25th March 2023, the event provided UTM students with a festive experience to immerse themselves in Chinese culture and traditions.

Participating in this event was a great opportunity to embrace and appreciate the Chinese New Year festivities. It allowed students to gain insights into customs, traditions, and the significance of Lunar New Year celebrations. By engaging in the activities, students developed cross-cultural understanding and respect, crucial attributes in today's interconnected world.

The event focused on two key Graduate Attributes: Communication skills and Adaptability. Through various activities, students interacted with each other, enhancing their communication and interpersonal skills. Conversations with club members, participation in games, and exploring cultural exhibitions created meaningful connections.

Moreover, the event encouraged adaptability as students experienced Chinese customs and traditions. Activities like the 24 Festive Drums, Diabolo demonstrations, Dance Performances, and Chinese Culture Exhibition pushed students out of their comfort zones, allowing them to appreciate diverse cultural practices.

The event's content was diverse and captivating. Students enjoyed mesmerizing performances, skillful Diabolo demonstrations, vibrant dance performances, and the presence of the God of Fortune. The lucky draw added excitement, while traditional Chinese food and beverages delighted the taste buds. A Chinese Culture Exhibition, photobooth, and engaging games provided interactive and educational experiences.
