Newbies Camp 2021 /
Self-Reflection

Junior and senior students had the opportunity to engage and deepen their bonds at Newbies Camp'21. Five breakout sessions were used for this programme, and first-year students were divided into groups based on the courses they were enrolled in: SECB (Bioinformatics), SECJ (Software Engineering), SECP (Data Engineering), SECR (Networks and Security), and SECV (Graphics and Multimedia). Participating in a welcoming camp has had a profound impact on my communication skills, thinking skills, and adaptability. Working with people from various backgrounds improved my cross-cultural communication abilities, allowing me to comprehend and value various viewpoints. Working closely with a broad set of people helped me understand various leadership philosophies and develop the ability to modify my strategy for various team dynamics. The camp provided a setting that promoted adaptability and flexibility. I discovered during the camp activities that my capacity for resilience and adaptation significantly aided in overcoming obstacles and welcoming new experiences.
