Mini Report

All the students who have been exposed to modules that focusing on information literacy strategy including me myself are invited to join this programme to mainly enhance information searching skills of the undergraduates. We have been taught with information searching skills method to access electronic information from subscribed databases/e-journals/e-books & open access resources by UTM Library, manage our bibliographies/references with Endnote (Reference Manager), checking our publication similarity with Turnitin (Plagiarism Tool) and find suitable journals to publish our research articles.

These Information literacies skills is closely related to one of the graduate attributes which is critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills are related to exploring and evaluating information to make argumentation with relevant and appropriate information. It includes analyzing and synthesizing information to solve a problem where these activities are part of information literacy.

Moreover, the graduate attribute - scholarship skills is also focused in this programme. We will able to consider and define the problem area, using many different information sources, information-seeking methods and library services after involving in this programme.
