SECP1513-10 Technology and Information System
My goal regarding my course (Computer Science (Graphics and Multimedia Software)) is to develop my own game or mobile application. I have to master the programming techniques and different programming languages. It will be hard for me as I am a computer science newbie, but I will try my best. Besides the academic matters, I also have a compulsory club, Computer Graphics Multimedia Association (CGMA). This club enables the SECVH students to interact and communicate with the seniors and be exposed to the final year project earlier by watching the seniors works. I hope to enjoy my university life with the valuable people around me and achieve flying colours in my Degree.
I watch YouTube tutorial videos to learn more about programming. I only know the C++ language so far, so I will try to learn other languages such as Python, Java and so on in the next few years. Besides, I develop my leadership skills further by being the leader of the group assignment. I want to become more sociable and confident. In addition, I plan to attend competitions or activities related to IT to improve my capability in the industry.
All the assessments in this subject benefit me a lot. The speakers of the industrial talks are from the agencies involved in the technology and information systems industry. I can explore and enhance my understanding of all the technologies applied in the industry and be mentally ready for future jobs. I had learned about cloud computing through AWS Academy, augmented reality, virtual reality, 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and many more that I cannot learn in detail from the classes. This subject mainly strengthens my knowledge and skills in cloud architecture and design through the low fidelity prototypes project.
I completed all the assignments given by my lecturer Dr Naghmeh Niknejad wholeheartedly. I had a hard time leading my group members in doing the group project at first. I asked Dr Naghmeh many questions and she responded very fast. Therefore, I am very grateful for her guidance and comments throughout this semester. Last but not least, I also want to thank my group members for giving cooperation when I distributed the tasks to them.
