Reflection on PS1 (SCSP 3204 - Software Engineering)

Reflection on PS1 (SCSP 3204 - Software Engineering)

On 30th March 2021, we were given Problem Solving Assignment (PS1) under the course SCSJ2203: Software Engineering by our lecturer, Dr.Iqbal. Being selected as leader, I am in charge of writing reflection regarding this assignment.

PS 1 is focus on 2 topics that have taught, namely Software Process Model and Agile Development. In the first part of case study in PS1, we were asked to choose the most suitable Software Process Model (SPM) and further explain our choice by referring to the given details. As there is numerous Software Process Models out there, we researched carefully about diverse models and its uses in order to identify the best suits model in our case study.

Second part of PS1 is more into Agile development where we required to suggest agile methods for scaling up and scaling out. Besides, we need to draw a Task Board comprising at least 5 user stories according to the case study. We discussed in team, exchange our opinions, do extra research and finally managed to answer these questions.

In conclusion, the case study given in PS1 eventually explored us in real world environment. We managed to learn different process model and agile development methods in depth. Especially in agile project development, I realized a task board is very important in making sure the software is delivered on time and within the planned budget. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to my teammates, Hun ho, Yin Jian and Kennard for contributing in this PS1 assignment.
