Mini Report:
The programme named "Promosi Advokasi Kesejahteraan Kehidupan" was held on 29th December 2022 at Pusat Kaunseling, UTM Johor Bahru. This programme was handled by UTM PEMADAM Club. Basically, it started at 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. There were approximately 60 participants including PEMADAM Club members that have attended this programme during that day. At first I saw the announcement poster regarding this programme, I had no idea what it is actually about. Because of the urge to know, I decided to join and invite my friends as well so that we could gain some knowledge and experience together.

There were two special sessions during the programme, which were carried out by professionals in their field respectively. The first slot was given by Mr Rashdan Rashid, who is a President of Lestari Alam Malaysia Club followed by the second slot by Mr Abdul Wahab Mohd Ibrahim, Jurulatih Terapi Kesihatan PEMADAM Kebangsaan.

Self-Reflection:

During the first slot of this programme, I was amazed by the great sharing from Mr Rashdan Rashid who is a President of Lestari Alam Malaysia Club. I do admit that it was my first time knowing about the Eco Brick mentioned by Mr Rashdan, which I think it was really mesmerizing because of the used and benefits themselves. Mr Rashdan has explained that Eco Brick is basically a reusable building block created by solid, non-biodegradable waste which placed into a plastic bottle to set its density. So, instead of throwing away the plastic waste into surroundings, it is better for us to reuse the plastics by creating an Eco Brick!

Some examples that we can build by applying Eco Brick are furniture at home and not only that, if we are creative enough we could even start a business as a side income for instance. Hence, from this session I was able to use entrepreneurial mindset in dealing with problems such as pollution caused by the solid and non-biodegradable waste (plastics) itself. So from my honest perspective, it cannot be denied that Eco Brick is a very brilliant idea for youth or younger generation to build up the knowledge and skills as global citizen especially in modern life nowadays.

Next slot was conducted by Jurulatih Terapi Kesihatan PEMADAM Kebangsaan named Abdul Wahab Mohd Ibrahim. Mr Abdul Wahab introduced us regarding the basic and simple steps for emotional and self therapy only by using a steel chopstick. It is called as acupressure technique which is very good for blood circulation and stress management. The technique is safe for sure, and really easy to be applied by anyone since we only need our own firm fingers or chopstick to do it. Even while studying or doing something, we could simply apply this at the same time.

From this session, I learned a lot of new and interesting knowledge that is very practically effective. I could definitely say that all of the participants felt the same way as me, where we were really enjoyed the session and excited to know more about therapy and something similar. Especially as students, this interesting acupressure technique just like a life saver! To conclude it, I am confident that I will be able to recognize potential for improvement in the future by applying this technique in real life, so that I could feel the positive impacts towards my stress management and eventually my studies. Hopefully, in shaa Allah.
