Student Entrepreneurship Week 2022 (SEW 2022)

As a society, BIOMEHS is responsible to provide the students from the biomedical engineering community with beneficial and splendid activities throughout their studies. As we know, students are the entrepreneurs of tomorrow, where their entrepreneurial plans and activities will shape the society of the future. In line with the UTM tagline “Innovative, Entrepreneurial, Global'', young entrepreneurs play a dominant role in the process of creative destruction by recognizing new opportunities and turning them into business ideas and by bringing new technologies and concepts into real commercial use, which is especially important in periods of economic crisis. Through this entrepreneurship event, students will get the opportunity to broaden their horizons and gain knowledge about entrepreneurship. Furthermore, it is an opportunity to expose students to the reality of online business which is one of the mediums for them to promote their products.

To be precise, this program intends to congregate all students not only from the School of Biomedical Engineering and Health Science but also students from various schools in different faculties in UTM, ranging from first-year to senior students in a 4-weeks duration event to give them chances to examine the entrepreneurial spirits of the students. Apart from these, a virtual entrepreneur event can be a great platform for students to develop their soft skills that revolve around leadership, communication, and self-esteem. Hence, this program indeed will give a huge positive impact on the participants' skills of entrepreneurship as well as soft skills to ensure a better society in the future.

• Date: 28th of April 2022 until 4th of June 2022 (A month and 8-days).
• Venue: Online (Cisco Webex Meeting and Google Meet) & Physical (Dataran CCSL, Pusat Kokurikulum UTM).

POSITION/ROLE IN THE PROGRAMME

The given role during Student Entrepreneurship Week 2022 was a "Vice Secretary" where I am responsible to assisting the administrative of the programme before, during and after the programme ended with clerical duties, such as organizing work schedules. Besides, I am on duty to supervise Sponsorship Unit and Registration and Gifts Unit by providing effective method and schedule weekly which beneficial their time management as a student.

To conclude, our organizer team hoped that a month programme had benefited  every participants to be better person and students in the future. SEW 2022 had created a stronger bond between to society that exist under the collaboration to collaborate more in the future events.

BIONESS Team Building 2021

This report aims to inform Student Welfare UTM (HEMA) and School of Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences detailed information about the 2021 BIONESS Team Building event. This event was held virtually from the 11th to 12th of March 2021 using Cisco Webex Meeting. It was organized by Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences Society (BIOMEHS) which in collaboration with Equine Scholar Society (ESS).  Moreover, BIONESS Tam Building 2021 was held to bring both members in Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences Society (BIOMEHS) and Equine Scholar Society (ESS) to get know each others in a fun and happy environment where located in the same roof of a school.

POSITION/ROLE IN THE PROGRAMME

The given role during BIONESS Team Building 2021 was a "Multimedia and Publicity Unit" where the unit was responsible to publish posters regarding the  the activities that will be held throughout the online sessions. In addition, the unit of multimedia and publicity also responsible to record the programme and monitor the game flow during the programme that will be used as a backup during the programme faced technical issues.

To conclude, our organizer team hoped that this two-days programme had benefited  every participants to be better person and students in the future. BIONESS Team Building 2021 had created a stoger bond between to society that exist under the same school to collaborate more in the future events.

Program Orientasi Rakan Muda (PORAM ‘21)

Program Orientasi Rakan Muda (PORAM ‘21) is an introductory programme aimed to establish and strengthen bonds between new and current members of the committee alongside equipping the members with prior knowledge on the club’s structure and organization. Furthermore, this programme will serve as a platform to reinforce cooperation and teamwork among the committee members. Besides, the objectives of the programme is to introduce Sekritariat Rakan Muda (SRM) structure to the new members which give them the ability to strengthen the relationships among the participants and the commitee members. PORAM '21 also able to provide new experiences for the new members.

POSITION/ROLE IN THE PROGRAMME

The given role during PORAM '21 was a "Protocol and Activity Unit" where the unit was responsible to manage the activities by preparing the game guidelines and monitor the game flow during the programme. Next, the protocol and activity unit need to elect facilitators to guide the participants in participating all the games during PORAM '21. Lastly, the protocol and activity unit need to determine the winners by concluding the marks and points based on accumulated scores for each presented activities.
