Year 1 of SCSP (Semester I & II 18/19 Session)

Discrete Structure (SCSI1013)

Reflection on SCSI1013

Discrete Structure or well-known as known as math in students are interesting yet exciting subject to me. the subject focuses heavily on how the machine works, the theorem of any decision and action made by man-made machine.

The first 2 topics discuss about the basic about logic and theory. this topics teach mainly in function, matrices and Sets, which was act as a revision to me because I already learned it on high school and foundation. But there also an additional things in the subtopics.

Next, chapter 3 was a challenging subtopics to me, Counting and Probability. This subtopics makes us (especially me) to think outside of the examination thinking norm because in this subtopic it is very correlated with our daily basis. Therefore. It was very challenging  for me to catch up at the first.

Chapter 4 (Graph Theory), 5 (Finite Automata), and 6 (Coding Theory) are a new things for me. This subtopics opens a new page to me as it shows me a new side of Logic in machine,

In a conclusion, this subject give me a surface of understanding that become a vital pillar for my further understanding in Computer Science.
