Description
Digital Logic divided into two parts , first part covers combinational logic design and the second part includes a memory elements. The first part include the introduction of Digital Logic, Number Systems and Codes, Logic Basic Gates, Boolean Algebra and logic Simplification, Combinational Circuit Design Logic and lastly Functional Logic Combination.
For the second part of this subject are Introduction to The latches and Flip-Flops, Design Counter, and lastly about the Shift Registers.
Lab Session
In this subject, we also have lab session. The lab session are divided into 4. the task given in Lab 1 is Introduction to Logic Circuits. the objectives of this laboratory are introducing students to basic bread boarding and wiring techniques, the use of input switches and output LEDs in generating truth tables for a combinational logic circuit and lastly to verify the characteristics of basic gates.
For Lab 2, we had to build a combinational circuit using Deeds application. Below are some of the results.
Reflection
My opinion about this subject is it is fun to learn. I have learnt about circuit which I barely know. This subject was conducted by Dr Foad. The learning session with him become more easier with the helps of application Deeds stimulator. What is Deeds?
Deeds is Digital Electronic Education and Design Suite is a set of educational tools for Digital Electronics. With the help of the apps, we can imagine the connection of circuit with the logic gates.
