Mini Report: Real Estate Internship Talk
Introduction:
In my capacity as the former Vice Director of the Real Estate Internship Talk, I am pleased to share insights into the program's purpose and execution. This initiative was aimed at providing early exposure to students majoring in Real Estate at four prominent universities: University Technology Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), MARA University of Technology (UiTM), and University Malaya (UM). Specifically, it targeted future Year 3 students who were on the brink of undertaking their industrial training in the field.
Program Objectives:
The program was carefully designed to achieve several key objectives:
1. Early Exposure: We aimed to give participants a glimpse of what to expect during their industrial training as Real Estate Appraisers in both the Public and Private Sectors.
2. Preparation: Our goal was to assist participants in preparing for their upcoming industrial training, helping them approach this phase of their education with confidence and readiness.
3. Enhanced Knowledge: We sought to enrich participants' understanding of the professional world and provide them with insights into the realities of the job market. This was crucial in ensuring that they entered the workforce well-prepared for the challenges of the working environment.
Program Implementation:
Despite the program being conducted online, we had full confidence that all the necessary information was effectively conveyed to the participants. The transition to an online format was executed seamlessly, with the content delivered in a manner that met the program's objectives.
In conclusion, the Real Estate Internship Talk, from my perspective as the former Vice Director, was a significant endeavor in preparing university students for their impending industrial training experiences. It provided them with early exposure, valuable preparation, and enhanced knowledge, equipping them to embark on their careers as Real Estate Appraisers in both the Public and Private Sectors with confidence and competence.
Self-Reflection
During my tenure as the Vice Director of the Real Estate Internship Talk, I had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the program's objectives and its successful execution.
One of the primary lessons I gleaned from this experience was the importance of early exposure to real-world scenarios in education. The program's primary objective was to provide participants with a preview of what they could anticipate during their industrial training as Real Estate Appraisers, both in the Public and Private Sectors. Witnessing the practical aspects of their future profession at this stage significantly contributed to their overall understanding and readiness.
Facilitating the program also underscored the significance of proper preparation. Assisting participants in gearing up for their imminent industrial training was not just a formality but a crucial step in building their confidence and competence.
Moreover, this experience emphasized the value of broadening students' knowledge beyond the confines of textbooks and lectures. Equipping them with practical insights and a glimpse into the realities of the job market ensured they were better prepared to navigate the challenges of their future careers.
In conclusion, my role as the former Vice Director of the Real Estate Internship Talk was a fulfilling journey that provided me with invaluable insights. It reinforced the importance of early exposure, preparation, knowledge diversification, and adaptability in education. These lessons will continue to inform my approach to educational initiatives, ensuring that future programs are equally effective and enriching for students.
