My Journey
At the beginning of the semester, Dr. Halinawati has introduced us to AWS, we were assigned to complete a 10-module course on the AWS academy page. Each module had several videos and labs that we were required to complete and a knowledge test at the end of each module. The course offered an overall understanding of cloud computing and discusses AWS core services. upon completion of each module and its module check, you are eligible to receive the AWS badge and a certificate as presented to you on the left side of the page. The concepts addressed were clear, however, the courses steadily grew more difficult and lengthy. Modules such as module 9- Cloud Architecture were unusually dense with information, but also gave detailed explanations that are useful for applying cloud computing solutions to real-world scenarios. Despite the fact that it was a difficult task, I was able to effectively obtain a comprehension of the course and comprehend the main topics given with the correct amount of attention, review, and with the help of the knowledge check. By the 9th of December, I have successfully completed the course and claimed my AWS badge.
Reflection
Cloud computing is a major topic right now, and it's in higher demand than ever. As a computer science student, I became interested in learning more about cloud computing solutions and gaining cloud computing abilities, therefore I was extremely happy to be able to attend this course. My drive for finishing this course comes directly from my desire to improve my technical abilities. I feel that equipping myself with in-demand skills, such as cloud computing, will increase my chances of landing a job in the IT industry. The course was unquestionably instructive on AWS services, covering a wide range of subjects such as AWS Cloud Security, Storage, and Databases. Module 9- Cloud Architecture was extremely intriguing to me since it tremendously assisted me in building the cloud architecture for our group project- Low-Fidelity prototype. Completing this course was a great task for me, but the information I gained and the medal I won made it worthwhile. In the near future, I hope to broaden my understanding of cloud computing and maybe become involved in the sector.
I believe it is critical for every computer science student to take this course and use the generous knowledge it provides to help them develop a greater awareness of cloud computing and its importance in future industries. Additionally, receiving this badge may make their CV more appealing to employers when applying for future jobs. Similarly, organizations must grasp the value that cloud computing can provide to their operations. Not only is it less expensive to store and handle data in the cloud, but cloud computing also provides additional security features, making data storage in the cloud safer than physical storage. Furthermore, it enables numerous users to examine the data online in real-time, making individual cooperation more comfortable and productive.
