TIS - SECP1513

So basically this project is demonstrating how to make a low-fidelity prototype ; which means a sketch of a program before implementing the design and coding parts.
each group was asked to choose a single program that they think it may be useful in someway for other people and then explain how the app or website works and interact with people. 

In our project, The idea of the application is to basically find the exact same product or a similar product -
which can be a book, clothing, food, beverage, furniture, electronics - by taking a picture of the
product in real life or a picture of the product from the internet. Or by scanning the products bar code.

This app helps users to search for product easily. Meanwhile, it uses the modern IR4.0 technologies such as :

Cloud Computing ; to provide a boost to the pace of innovation, provide more flexible resources and economies of
scale - is defined as the term, cloud computing.
Artificial Intelligence ; because we want our project to know which data sets to store for analysis, learn as it delivers its service to the clients and evaluate user feedback to provide faster and more accurate results.
Big Data Analytics ; We plan to use the user’s input, feedback and analyze them to provide better, faster and more
accurate results in the future. And possibly use Augmented Reality in the future.

we are using all these technologies in order to deliver the best output for the customers. Making the app suitable for both young and old audience to navigate between the app features smoothly. Also planning to replace the wall barcode scanners from the hypermarkets and replace it with this app.

"Teamwork makes dreams work" 

It is great to watch a whole group of 5 students work hand to hand helping each other to complete a single task. Sharing the same goals and interests definitely helped us to work together and to come out with the best outcome possible.

Arshad Dipto leading our five-person group and spreading tasks between all of me, Maysara, Youssef Ramiz and Amar Hassan helped us to reach a higher level of productivity.

Working in a group improved my communication skills and its known that communication is always the key to success. I discovered strength points and weaknesses of each member of our group ( including me ) . And how together we walked our way through all the assignments helping each one in his certain weak area and taking advantage of our members strength areas.

We, for sure, got some difficulties to work together at the beginning due to the differences in time where each member lives and some other factors but we figured it out at the end.

Overall, working on making all the magazines/newsletters really improved my research skills and decreased the amount of time I need to be done with a single research. I liked my team members and leader and I hope I can have another chance to work with them in the next years.

Industrial Talks ( IT ) Recap :

• IT 1 by TM and IT 2 by Cybersecurity Malaysia  : This was the beginning where we learned what is IR4.0 and its impact on the world, then went in some depth with cybersecurity and why is it important to learn about. Also we learned how the national agency ( Cybersecurity Malaysia ) works and deal with problems to keep the Malaysian network a safe place for its users.

• IT 3 by APU and IT 4 by OZEL Shn Bhd : They were mainly focused on the two fourth revolution technologies; cloud computing and augmented reality (AR). It explained pros and cons between cloud computing and traditional computing. Of course, cloud computing wins there is competition especially with the great features that Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers . It also explained how AR is getting involved in the industries phase by phase in an  overwhelming  way.

• IT 5 Smart Campus by CommScope Malaysia and IT 6 5G, Wifi6 and Emerging Network Technologies by HUAWEI : A great idea was deployed in this IT that is smart campus which uses advanced tech and network infrastructure, to connect devices, people, and applications allowing us to decisions that improve security and maximize resources. This talk also mentioned about what are 5G and WIFI 6 and why should we implement them rather than other technologies.

• IT 7 Introduction to Data Visualization by ICEP : We basically learned about making our own online data dashboard and designing the statistics and analysis graphs about a certain topic using the tool enterprise business intelligence AKA ( Microsoft Power BI ). You can check our dashboard here .
