TIS - Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Before starting the AWS foundation course I had no idea about cloud computing or how it works.

I started learning everything from scratch. Starting with the first topic that introduced me to the whole concept of cloud computing and why should I use it and learned about its advantages over the traditional computing ( for example : pay as you go and capacity misestimating ). Then learning about how great is AWS as a cloud computing system. walking through all the modules, labs and quizzes of the course was a pretty interesting journey I would say. The amount of services that AWS provides in incomparable. Also learning about all of the four types of cloud computing (private clouds,  hybrid clouds, public clouds, and multiclouds ) and the three types of services (Platforms-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS),  and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ) really benefits me in case I an app or website to start my own business in the future, I know what cloud computing is the most suitable for me, what is the approximate cost of the service and what features I will need. Designing my own cloud computing architecture is now possible after taking the AWS foundation course and how to connect the business, the system and the user using cloud computing. Also the lab exercises and the knowledge check helped me to make sure that i understand each topic and to examinate myself.

I used to go to the AWS foundation course weekly to complete a potion of the modules every Thursday. The whole process took from me about 10 weeks including all the knowledge checks and labs. I believe this course can be completed in less time than it took me, but I chose to go easy because I have 7 courses this semester already.

At the end, receiving the AWS badge and certificate as an achievement reward made me proud and motivated me.
