Mini Report
I had participated in the UTM Catapult Challenge event because i fell interesting because i never make any Catapult before this event i participate. I fell very curious, how can a catapult can be make by just using few of the ice cream stick. Before start the activity, the organizer has distribute the group member of 5 for each group for all of the student who participate in this event. Then, i start to introduce myself to my group member and group member also introduce their self. Next, the committee member have distribute us few ice cream, a plastic spoon and some rubber bands. Then, the catapult build can only use the material given. At first, my group member and me start to brainstorm about the design and shape of the catapult. While brainstorm, we also search online about the idea. After we decide the design of the catapult, we start to use the rubber bands to build the catapult with the ice cream stick. After done making the catapult, my group member and me try to put the ping pong ball on the spoon and try to shoot to the target destination and make some adjust before we participate into the competition. In the competition, my group are very lucky and we manage to wont in the third place.
Self-Reflection
In this UTM CATAPULT CHALLENGE, I had learn how to design and make a catapult. In this event, we had to apply our physic theory in order to make a catapult with shoot the object in projectile to the target destination. Then, I also knew that one's ability is limited. Teamwork is the key to success to build a catapult with group members. I feel very thankful to my group member. This is because my group member showing their best teamwork and speak out their idea in order to speed up in finalize the final design of the catapult. This is because it is important to decide the final design as soon as possible cause the time given to build the catapult is just short. In this event i also learnt that never give up in completing a task. This is because we face some trouble and problem in building of the catapult. Yet, luckily my group member and me try our best and never give up until the catapult successful build. At the end, i feel grateful the KTC can held this kind of awesome event to let student to apply physic in the daily life.
