Your opinion on whether this subject contributes to your knowledge on specific area?
- SECP1513 which is also known as the Technology & Information System course has introduced me to the fundamental knowledge of computers and future emerging technologies. As a computer science student, it is very important to learn and understand the latest computer technologies such as cloud computing, IoT, 5G, and WIFi 6 due to the fact that these new technologies are one of the major factors that drive the advancement of computers.

What are the benefits of Cloud Computing?
- A service that deliver the computing power, database, storage, and other IT applications via the Internet with pay-as-you-go pricing
- Cloud computing will eventually replacing the physical hardware infrastructure and convert it into "software", where you can control & configure all the hardware infrastructure with a few clicks without spending a lot on purchasing & upgrading the physical hardware infrastructure, eg. server equipment, computer components.
What are the difference between Traditional Computing and Cloud Computing?
- Traditional Computing
- Requires maintenance, space, staff, physical security & others.
- Requires you to provision the server's capacity by guessing the theoretical maximum peaks
- Expensive
- Cloud Computing
- Cost effective
- Does not require maintenance, space staff, physical security & others
- Flexible — Cloud computing providing scaling up-down services accordingly to cater the unexpected high demand.
What are the difference between Iaas, Paas and Saas in term of human control?
- IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) —- Require the most control from human
- Paas (Platform as a Service)
- SaaS (Software as a Service) — Require the least control from human
What are the most common types of cloud computing deployment model?
- On the Cloud — All data will be saved on the cloud.
- Hybrid — Sensitive data can be saved on the physical server , and non-sensitive data can be saved on the cloud.

What is Augmented Reality?
- Augmented Reality is a technology where it allows the user to have an interactive experience with virtual objects by superimpose the digital objects over a real world environment via their smart devices that are compatible with AR.
What are the use cases of Augmented Reality (AR) in the future?
- Video games, healthcare, engineering, live events, entertainment, education , real estate, military and retail.
What is the example of company that has started to implement the Augmented Reality technology into their business?
- Popular furniture company, IKEA has developed an application with the integration of Augmented Reality. This application enables their customer to superimpose the virtual furniture at their place in order for the customer to test out the furniture before they are going to purchase it.

What is the impact from COVID-19 pandemic towards the IT world?
- The COVID-19 pandemic has forced everyone to work from home. Hence, this has caused the increasing number of devices that are connected to the Internet and more complex to deploy, manage these new information.
How WIFI-6 will help to solve the problems?
- Advanced features such as OFDMA and MU-MIMO have improved the WIFI-6 technology to increase its overall network capacity and reliability.
- The support of 1024-QAM and BSS coloring features have increased the peak network throughput and enhance the WIFI coexistence in WIFI 6.
What are the factors that drive us to the Multigigabit Technology?
- The rapid increase of the requirement of high speed Wi-Fi
- The increase of cloud application usage and high-definition video streaming

What is a Unified Network Management?
- A Unified Network Management is a network where all the access points and switches are connected under the same network controller. By doing this, the user will be able to review and control their network more easily and efficiently.
What are the challenges when deploy IoT solutions?
- Connectivity, Security and Compatibility. It is necessary for the user to provide a safe network infrastructure in order to allow the huge number of IoT devices to communicate with each other without connectivity problem. Besides that, the user should also ensure the compatibility of their IoT devices in order to make sure their devices operate smoothly.

What is 5G telecommunication and its features?
- 5G refers to fifth generation of wireless telecommunication technology. It provides a faster transmission speed with a very low latency than previous telecommunication technology such as 2G, 3G and 4G. Besides that, 5G is much more reliable and enabling better data transmission in extreme conditions. Last but not least, the 5G telecommunication technology also has supported a higher connection density of up to 1 million devices per kilometer square.
What are the factors that drive us towards the 5G telecommunication technology?

My Experience
I have received the invitation from Amazon to attend this course on the day of 7th November 2021. In the beginning, I am still unfamiliar with the purpose of this course. However, after I have attended Industrial Talk 3 conducted by the Asia Pacific University on 15th November 2021, I knew what I am going to learn in this course. I have started my first module on 3 December 2021 and completed my last module on 31 December 2021. It took me almost a month long to finish this course. This is due to the fact that I was only be able to went through the modules during my free time. During the process of learning this course, I have explored and understood features and services by using the AWS account provided by the AWS. For instance, services like Amazon EC2, Amazon VPC, Amazon S3, Amazon Aurora, and many others.

a) What have I gained from completing the course?
- The Concept of Cloud Computing.
- Understood the cloud computing services that offered by AWS.
- The use and implementation of AWS cloud computing services.
- A badge from Amazon Web Services Training and Certification.
b) What is my motivation to complete this project?
- To learn and understand the cloud computing technology.
- To explore the cloud computing services that offered by AWS.
c) From my opinion whether getting the badge is easy or difficult? Which module is the easiest/most difficult.
- From my perspective, the badge is easy to obtain. This is because Amazon has provided a platform that is equipped with necessary things such as Labwork and Knowledge Check in every module to ensure every student is able to obtain their knowledge successfully. I would like to say that Module 5 (Networking & Content Delivery) will be the most difficult module as it involves some basic knowledge of networking and Module 1 (Cloud Computing Overview) will be the easiest module for me.
d) Is it worth it to obtain the badge?
- Yes. The badge will improve my future job opportunity in the field related to cloud computing.
e) Feedback whether getting the badge improve your knowledge and skills on Cloud Computing
- This course has made me understand more about the concept of Cloud Computing and introduced me about the Cloud Computing services offered from the Amazon Web Services.
f) Your opinion whether every company should shift to Cloud Computing?
- In my opinion, every company can shift to Cloud Computing. However, there are times that some companies might not be able to shift to Cloud Computing due to concerns of data privacy in the cloud, and internet infrastructure problems.
g) Your opinion whether every computer science/UTM student should learn Cloud Computing (get the AWS badge?)
- Yes, every computer science student should learn Cloud Computing. This is due to the fact the cloud computing is one of the crucial technologies that enabling the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the future business industries. Hence, it is very important for computer science student to learn the concept of cloud computing so that they will able to adapt into the future work environment where cloud computing are involved a lot in the future business.
h) Any advice to your friends who have not get the AWS badge yet?
- Hurry up to learn, understand the fundamental knowledge of cloud computing and obtain your AWS badge by joining the AWS courses before you are preparing to enroll into for your future career.
i) What is your direction after completing the badge?
- After completing the badge, this course has made me to be interested to learn more about the cloud computing services from other major companies such as Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud Platform and many others.
j) Your opinion about getting the AWS badge that is included in SECP1513 subject?
- From my opinion, I think it is necessary for student from SECP1513 subject to obtain their AWS badge. This is because the AWS course will definitely help the student to understand more about the concept of Cloud Computing.
