Furthermore, I learned about how to install an operating system like Windows 10 on a new computer from my lecturer. To install an operating system like Windows 10 on a new computer, first, we need to install Windows 10 installer on a Pendrive. Then we plug the Pendrive into the new computer and start the computer. After that, start the computer and enter the bios to select the Pendrive as the primary booting drive. Then, let the computer detect and run the Windows installer. After that, the computer now will have an operating system.
In chapter 5: The System Unit, my lecturer gives me and my classmate a group work which is the discussion on components of computers. I am using a PC building simulator to start this discussion with my group member. You can check out the link below to see more details.
In chapter 6: Input and Output, I learned about the input and output which is allocated in a computer. I know what devices work as input like keyboard and mouse, and output such as the monitor for general. There were several types of input and output devices. Keyboard, Mouse, Touch screen, Game controller, Scanning devices, Bar Code Readers, and more are input devices. Monitors, Printers, Audio and Video Devices, and more are output devices.
In chapter 7: Secondary Storage, there were so many things that I learned in this chapter. For now, I can distinguish between primary, secondary storage, and some types of storage devices like SSD, HDD, optical disk, and more. Also, I can identify the important characteristics of primary and secondary storage. In this day data storage has expanded from text and numeric files to include digital music files, photographic files, video files, and much more.
In Chapter 8: Communication and Networks, I learned about nowadays, people are communicating with each other online using their smartphone or their computer through the network. Many people share data, programs, and information via E-mail, texting, video conferencing, and electronic commerce between two or more computers, which is called computer communication. In this modern era, people and people are linked together while using a computer network, which is called connectivity. It connects our personal computer to other computers and resources on a network and the Internet. Besides is the wireless revolution, the Single most dramatic change in connectivity in the past decade and allows connectivity with anyone from almost anywhere at any time.
Chapter 9: Privacy, Security and Ethics, is talking about privacy, security, and ethics whether in-network or computer. Conclusion for the talk
Telekom Malaysia, a.k.a TM has been connected and served Malaysian since 1946 no matter in millions of homes, enterprises, and public sector, and also Malaysia and International Telcos. TM has been implemented fiber optic cable over international and domestic and 4G technology and want to implement 5G in the future. The fourth industry revolution ( Industry 4.0& 4IR) is talking about the cyber-physical systems in manufacturing and all aspect of human life related to the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and so on. To support the evolution of 4IR, TM has built the Data Centres, Cloud Services, and Internet of Things so that Malaysia can become a digital country nowadays which is Digital Government, Digital Economy, and Digital Society.
Adoption areas within 4IR are talking about cloud/digital, smart city, and 5G. For cloud/digital in 4IR, it can help many people become innovative in business models like Visa payWave and others to make payment become easily and enhance customer experience. Nowadays, many people can now store their files, data, and pictures on cloud storage such as Google Drive or Google Photos, edit their word files in word processor programs like Google Docs. If anyone wants to listen to the music, they can just "click-click" on their smartphones listen to the music using these popular apps like Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube Music. If a person did have any transport to travel to another place, they can just use the Grab app to call a Grab car. Also for gaming, Sony, Microsoft, and Nvidia have put many efforts to give the best experience for the gamers like the digital game store on Xbox and PS5 without using CD disk anymore.
TM also introduced what is Smart City. Smart City is the technology to intuitively adapt and respond to the need of citizens in the living to bring convenience to the citizens in Malaysia. For example, real-time traffic information is the way to allow citizens to track the traffic condition on any highway to avoid traffic jams. Also for parcel delivery services, companies like PosLaju, J&T, DHL, and more make an application call parcel tracking to allow their customers to track their parcel in real-time so that they can know their parcel delivery status. Business nowadays, some of the big companies like TopGlove and Lazada are using product performance analysis and product sale management to allow these companies to know their product selling status. About smart water integrated management system (SWIMS), SWIMS provides total visibility for the water industry, reduces water wastage, and increase water revenue,
TM has been mentioned about 5G technology in this talk. 5G is the next generation of mobile network evolution, a brand new technology to unify connectivity fabric for society and extensive mobile ecosystem to new industries. Title: Amazon Web Services Cloud Computing
Panel: Dr Qusay Al-Maatouk (APU)
Conclusion for the talk
Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence —over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. Customers typically pay only for cloud services they want to use, helping customers lower their operating costs, run infrastructure more efficiently, and scale as their business needs change.
Cloud computing enables all users to stop thinking of infrastructure as hardware instead of think of and using it as software. For infrastructure as hardware. user requires space, staff, physical security, planning, capital expenditure, and have a long hardware procurement cycle. Also, infrastructure as hardware requires the user to provision capacity by guessing theoretical maximum peaks and also pricy. But for infrastructure as software, they are flexible, can eliminate the undifferentiated heavy-lifting tasks and can change more quickly, easily, and cost-effectively than a hardware solution.
Furthermore, there were three types of cloud service models which are IaaS (Infrastructure as a service), Paas (Platform as a service), and Saas (Software as a service). IaaS is more control over IT resources and PaaS is slightly more control over IT resources and Saas is less control over IT resources.
Cloud computing deployment models have three types such as cloud, hybrid, and on-premises (private cloud). Here were the comparison between traditional on-premises IT space and AWS cloud computing:
| Traditional on premises IT space | AWS Cloud Computing | |
| Security |
|
|
| Networking |
|
|
| Compute |
|
|
| Storage and database |
|
|
In AWS, there were several services such as storage, database, migration & transfer, quantum technologies, management & governance, media services, analysis, security, identity & compliance, application integration, business applications, end-user computing, and the internet of things.
For the advantage of cloud computing, users can invest their capital based on the forecast and pay only for the amount that users can consume. Also, users can stop guessing capacity. For example, overestimated server capacity is usually low in temperature but underestimated server capacity usually are high. Besides, before using cloud computing, consumers are always paying payroll, utilities, maintenance, landscaping, and hardware pay bill, which is very pricy. But after using cloud computing, users can stop spending money on running and maintaining data centers. Furthermore, users that use cloud computing can go global in a minute.
So what are web services? Web services are any piece of software that makes itself available over the internet and use a standardized format such as JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) for the request and response of an application programming interface (API) interaction.
In this talk, I also know about what is AWS. AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a secure cloud platform that offers a broad set of global cloud-based products and the services work together like building blocks. AWS provides users with on-demand access to compute, storage, network, database, and other IT resources and management tools and it is flexible. Besides, users only pay for the individual services that they need for as long as they use them. There were several categories of AWS services which is analysis, AR and VR, blockchain, business compute, media services machine learning, cost management, and so on.
So there were 3 ways to interact with AWS which is AWS Management Console, Command Line Interface (AWS CLI), and Software Development Kits (SDKs). There was also a service from AWS which is AWS pricing calculator. AWS pricing calculator can help users to estimate monthly costs, identify opportunities to reduce monthly costs, help users to model solutions before building, explore prices points and calculations behind user's calculations,s and more.
For support plans, AWS give four support plans such as basic support, developer support, business support, and enterprise support
| Basic support |
|
| Developer support |
|
| Business support |
|
| Enterprise support |

Title: Current Trends of Augmented Reality in Industry
Panel: Dr Ruzimi Mohamed (OZEL Sdn. Bhd.)
Conclusion for the talk
So what is augmented reality, Augmented reality, as known as AR is an interactive 3D experience that combines a view of the real world with computer-generated elements. AR is different from VR in that VR is a completely self-contained computer environment while AR layers computer elements among real objects in real-time.
In this talk, I also know that inside World Economics Forum 2015 that prediction by 2025, 10% of people will be wearing clothes connected to the internet, 10% of reading glasses will be internet-connected, 80% of the world’s population will have an Internet presence, 5% of consumer products will be produced in a 3D printer, 90% of world’s population will own a smartphone, 90% of the world’s population will have internet access, 10% of all vehicles on the roads will be driverless, 30% of all audits performed on large corporations will be through Artificial Intelligence, more than 50% of home appliances will be connected to the internet
there will be one Trillion sensors connected to the internet, the first automobile entirely produced with a 3D printer, the first organ transplant from an organ made on a 3D printer, and more rides will be made on shared cars than on private cars.
This talk also talks about the future of AR in 10 use cases such as mobile AR, AR in shopping and retail, utilizing AR for navigation, Augmented Reality relies on Artificial Intelligence, remote assistance, and virtual manuals, Augmented Reality in the automotive industry, portable Augmented Reality, Augmented Reality events, AR in remote education, and AR in sports.
There were also types of AR that were discussed in this talk. Types of AR included Maker-based AR, superimposition-based AR, and Projection-based AR. Maker-based AR works by scanning a marker that triggers an augmented experience (whether an object, text, video, or animation) to appear on the device. It usually requires software in the form of an app, which enables users to scan markers from their device using its camera feed. Superimposition-based augmented reality uses object recognition. The augmented image replaces the original image either partially or fully. This type of AR is commonly used in the medical field to superimpose an X-ray onto a patient's body. It can also be used to enhance a historical tour. Projection-based AR, sometimes also referred to as spatial AR, is a method of delivering digital information within a stationary context. It focuses on rendering virtual objects within or on a user’s physical space. It is one of the simplest forms of AR where light is projected onto a surface. The interaction occurs by touching the projected surface physically.
Furthermore, there were 6 common positions in AR work which is AR/VR content developer, AR/VR content strategist, AR/VR user experience designer, AR/VR community manager, AR/VR project manager, and designer, animator, or sound specializing in AR/VR. There were also 3 key areas where humans beat machines that are key to future job creation which is creative endeavours, social interaction and physical dexterity & mobility. when choosing your career, we also must consider 5 things, which is:
- Study data science and/or get a job in data
- Choose a job that robots still can’t do well – focus on jobs that require skills like creativity, problem-solving and connecting with people on a human level
- Keep in touch with the job market to get an insight into which jobs are in demand and its average salary
- Be data savvy – learn how to use data to make decisions and solve problems
- Get familiar with artificial intelligence

Title: Emerging Technology on Network Infrastructure
Panel: Mr. Goh Bih Der
Conclusion for the talk
This talk is talking about the pandemic impact on the IT world, technology highlights, Smart Campus, and more. The first thing is about how is the new normal in the last 24 months with Covid 19. During Covid 19 pandemic, every employee is been forced to remote work at home, as known as work from home. But cloud and mobile computing have become popular nowadays, IT infrastructure can now manage remotely, digital transformation has been moving fast forward, and so on. Besides that, we also have some things that need to improve such as better security, higher asset utilization, improved guest services, and more.
For technology highlights, Mr. Goh Bih Der also talked about the network infrastructure, WiFi & Access Point, Multigigabit Technology, Unified Network Management, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cloud Analytics. For WiFi & Access Point, the global value of WiFi in 2021 is about $3.3 trillion USD and we aspect can reach $4.9 trillion USD in 2025. In the past few years, we use WiFi types like 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g, but nowhere comes WiFi 5 (802.11ac), and WiFi 6 (802.11ax). WiFi 6 can solve real problems like power efficiencies on devices, long OFDM symbols, and more. The newest devices now like iPhone 13 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21, iPad Pro, Playstation 5, and more are the devices that support WiFi 6. Also, the traditional home that only can be used in the home has been taken over by converged communication devices as known as smartphones and the WiFi Access Point is taken over by the converged Access Point that has WiFi 6, Bluetooth, ZigBee, and more.
About the Multigigabit Technology, the Campus Core Is Under Stress in rapid increases in Wi-Fi speeds, develop IoT devices or Smart Buildings Increase in wired edge speeds 10 times faster improve the cloud applications and video streaming. For the comparison between existing campus infrastructure and multigigabit infrastructure, the core is improved from 10/40 GbE to 40/100 GbE, the aggregation has been improved from 1/10 GbE to 10/40 GbE, and access has been improved from 1 GbE to 2.5/5 GbE. About the bottleneck, the old bottleneck is less than 1Gbps throughput and the new bottleneck is more than 1Gbps throughput for clients. For more clients, the new bottleneck is up to 5Gbps throughput.
Next is Unified Network Management. the traditional approach to On-Premises LAN/WLAN network management is 3 or 4 access points connected to the WLAN controller and WLAN controller and switches connected to the network management system. But for Unified Network Management, access points and switches is directly connected to the network controller
Internet of things is also included in this topic of talk. In the 1970s, people are using wired devices to connect to the local area network, in the 1990s, people are using wireless devices and connected them to the wireless local area network, and finally, in the 2010s, people now are using IoT devices which are connected to the IoT access network. About the IoT forecast, we are expected 50 billion new devices to be connected by the year 2025, the Smart building market will grow to $108 Billion by the year 2025, the home automation market growing by $25 Billion per year, and more. If we implement an IoT solution like installing smart bulbs, smart home locks, smart CCTV, and so on, we can reduce cost, enhance customer experiences, increase efficiency & productivity, and more.
Next is cloud analytics. Cloud analytics is too complex for a normal human to manage as 42% of network professionals spend too much time troubleshooting, 38% of network professionals cannot proactively identify network performance issues, and #1 ranking of wireless as the top network challenge. In the machine learning and artificial intelligence era, identifying the root causes is way easier, we can directly see and know the problem of the system if the system is in malfunction.
What is a Smart City? A smart city is a technologically modern urban area that uses different types of electronic methods, voice activation methods, and sensors to collect specific data. To develop a smart campus, we need 3 things which are smart living, smart learning, and smart security to enhance the student experience. Smart living includes smart staff or student ID cards, smart lighting, smart parking, and more. Smart Learning is about students can attend labs virtually, using digital portals like e-learning, online library, and more. Next, smart safety is a campus having sound detection, CCTV, motion detection which is implemented around the whole campus.

Conclusion for the talk
HUAWEI is the leading provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices. This company also is a Chinese multinational technology corporation headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It designs, develops, and sells devices like smartphones, smart home devices and wearables, intelligent automotive components like automotive components and intelligent vehicles, connectivity like wireless networks, cloud computing like data storage, cluster computing, and public cloud, and digital power like Integrated smart energy.
HUAWEI is also the largest ICT solution provider serving more than 90% of Malaysia's population. It also has 11 global shared service canters, 1 customer solution innovation center, and 1 global training center, 300+ local partners, and more.
5G
5G is the next generation of wireless technology systems. It provides speeds faster than any previous generation, comparable to those delivered via fiber-optic cables. Early testing of this technology shows real-world speeds of 700-3025 Mbps, which consumers may experience once 5G becomes commercially available. Movies that took minutes to download with 4G will take seconds with 5G. 5G has a lot of benefits such as low latency to enable faster transmission of larger data streams, more reliability to enable better transmission data in extreme conditions like in the jungle, and more flexible than Wi-Fi and can support a wide range of devices, sensors and wearables. 5G requirements will support more applications. The most index can be shortened as 1, 10, 100 which means 1ms of E2E latency, 10 Gbps peak data rate, and 1 million connections within 1 square kilometer. There was also 3 major 5G application scenario defined by ITU which is Enhanced Mobile Broadband(eMBB), Massive Machine Type Communications(mMTC), Ultra-reliable, and Low-Latency Communications(uRLLC). Things like 3D video, work and play in the cloud, Augmented Reality(AR), Smart City, Smart Building, and more are all included in these 3 5G application scenarios. Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and automation in-vehicle, Smart Grid is high in business impact and 5G essential.
For driver information, entertainment in vehicle and delivery drones is low in both business impact and 5G essential. Why do we need VR in 5G? This is because VR needs high throughput which is more than 5037 X 5707 high resolution for retina experience per eye and 6 angles for full view panoramic video mosaics and also low latency to avoid motion sickness.
There were also 5G top potential industrial applications which include 5G smart medical, 5G smart manufacturing, 5G smart education, 5G smart education, and more. 5G gives everyone opportunities to stram their experiences anytime during travel via 5G network and enhance the tourist guide mobile app experience. 5G also can use in an industrial park which equip Hi-Tech Park with fully connected intelligent 5G to attract Hi-Tech investor and enables AR/VR-based virtual education which helps students with excellent resource all over the country.
When using 5G technologies like Smart Antenna will improve SNR expanding the coverage radius by 20%, and Smart Radio enables 10ms ultra-low latency and lossless roaming.
Wi-Fi 6
In 2017, Broadcom and Qualcomm released Wi-Fi series chips and HUAWEI has released their first Wi-Fi 6 enterprise AP-7060DN. In 2018, Asus launches the first home Wi-Fi 6 router and Intel releases Wi-Fi 6 chips for home gateways and terminals. In 2019, Samsung has released the Samsung S10 series mobile phone that supports Wi-Fi 6, and computers like ASUS, HP, Acer, Dell has supported Wi-Fi 6. Some devices like iPhone 11 series, Wi-Fi router is also started using Wi-Fi 6 in 2019. Wi-Fi has also had its evolution, for the 802.11 standard evolution process, it starts from 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) in 2014, 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) from 2015 to 2019, and 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) from 2019 to 2021. In October 2018, the Wi-Fi Alliance specified a new name for different Wi-Fi standards, 802.11ax was named Wi-Fi 6, which is a new revolution technology. Wi-Fi 6 supports Gigabit Broadband Promotion such as 1 Gbit/s to mobile, phones, and PCs and fast backup or download experience, the peak performance improved 33% from Wi-Fi 4 to Wi-Fi 5, and peak performance improved 25 % from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6. For Wi-Fi 5, the transmission time is 3.2us/time and can carry 234 subcarriers but for Wi-Fi 6 the transmission time is 12.8us/time and can carry 980 subcarriers. For the speed test, video or games that take minutes to download will take 20 seconds using Wi-Fi 6, which is pretty fast.
Wi-Fi 6 can cover a full house of 5 GHz signals because of the Wi-Fi 6 chip RF optimization, improving the TX power and sensitivity under the same signal quality and dedicated algorithm to improve performance and omnidirectional coverage when connecting to traditional Wi-Fi 5 STAs. Wi-Fi 6 also comes out with new video services like multi-screen IPTV, online HD video teaching, cloud VR interaction, and eSports acceleration. In Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 5 uses OFDM which is a single lane without traffic lights and CCA power adjustment. On the other hand, Wi-Fi 6 uses OFDMA which is multiple lanes with traffic lights and BSS coloring. Wi-Fi 6 supports a better multi-user experience as more than 100 terminals are connected and the power consumption of terminals reduced by 30%

Title: *Introduction to Data Visualization *
Panel: Mr. Isma Redha
Conclusion for the talk
iCEP, as known as International Conference & Exhibition Professionals, formerly known as WGC 2021 Organising Committee aspires to be the professional conference, exhibition, and event organizer.
The first is data visualization. Data visualization is a piece of information that can be visualized in a number of ways each of which can provide a specific insight. It is very important to identify and understand the story we are trying to tell and it is best to deliver or message if the visualization is proper.
There were several types of data that can be visualized and they have relationships to each other. Quantitative data is the data that can be counted or measured, all values are numerical, discrete data is numerical data that has a finite number of possible values such as the number of employees in an office. Continues data is the data measured and has a value within a range like rainfall in a year. Categorical data is the data that can be stored according to group or category like typed of product sold.
There were several types of data relationships like nominal comparison, time series, correlation, ranking, and so on. Nominal comparison is a simple comparison of quantitative values of subcategories like a number of preferred public transport. Time series is changing the track of values of a consistent metric over time like monthly sales. Correlation is data with two or more variables, can be visualized as a positive or negative correlation. The ranking is two or more values that compare to each other such as student by marks. The deviation is examined how data points relate to each other as bemusement park tickets sold on a rainy day compared to a regular day. The distribution shows data distribution often around a central value. Part-To-Whole Relationships show a subset compared to the larger whole percentage of customers purchasing some products.
There were 6 chart types and the first one is the bar chart. The bar chart is the best used to show change over time and do a comparison. We can use it in horizontal to label the data in long categories and in vertical when visualizing positive or negative values for chronological data. The next type is the pie chart. The pie chart is the best when making portion to whole comparisons with discrete or continuous data and it is the most impactful with a small data set. The standard pie chart is to shows part-to-whole relationships and the donut pie chart is the stylistic version that can have total value or design element in the center. The third one is the line chart. The line chart is to shows the time-series relationships with continuous data to help show trend, acceleration, deceleration, and volatility. The fourth one is the scatterplot chart. The Scatterplot chart is to show the relationship between items based on two sets of variables and it is best to use in showing the correlation in a large amount of data. The bubble chart is also included. The bubble chart is good for displaying nominal comparisons or ranking relationships. The bubble plot bubble chart is best used to display an additional variable while the bubble map bubble chart is best used to visualize values for specific regions. The last one is heat map variations. Heat map variations are used to display categorical data, using an intensity of color to represent values of geographical areas like Covid-19 cases update.
Mr. Isma Redha also has introduced Microsoft Power BI and he has shown some methods on how to use this software to let Microsoft Excel data become nicer using Microsoft Power BI.
Reflection
From this module, I have learned a lot of knowledge about technology and the revolution of technology and industry. The times are constantly changing, and technology is constantly advancing. Technology nowadays is changing so quickly and this is because the performance for some of the components inside a PC like CPU will become better and better every year and the company like Intel or AMD are going to launch their newest high-end product every year to improve. For the storage, we are already using SSD which is faster than the traditional hard disk to replace the old HDD drive which is very slow to load data. Furthermore, people are going to choose cloud computing instead of traditional computing because cloud computing is way more flexible and low cost than traditional computing. As we can see, we must keep learning so that we are not losing behind.
My first goal is to complete my degree with a higher CGPA and be a software engineer in top technology companies like Microsoft. My second goal is to have advanced programming skills like being able to code using C++, C, JAVA, Phyton, and more.
To improve my potential in the industry, I have to practice my programming skills and do more research so that I can be an advanced professional software engineer and able to be an employee in top technology companies. Also, I have to improve my communication skills and problem-solving skills so that I can always solve the problems that I meet in a team quickly and efficiently without any argument.
In my opinion, I think this subject has contributed to my knowledge of computer technicians, cloud engineering, and databases. Dr. Hairudin has helped me and my friends by giving some advice on projects and assignments and I am very appreciated. In the assignments and projects that are given by Dr. Hairudin, I have learned how to work together with my group member as a team without any argument so that our assignment and project can be done on time. Besides, I have learned how to write a report and reflection report technically when doing assignments and projects. In the future, I will let the knowledge that I learned in this course be useful in the industry and I will put more effort on study to make my goal-become a software engineer become true.

Reflection
This assignment is regrading on industry talk 3 and industry talk 4 held on 15 and 18 November. From this assignment, I know that cloud computing service is going to be the on-demand service in the future because it has a lot of benefits than the traditional computing infrastructure. Cloud computing is way more convenient, flexible, and low cost compared to the traditional model that needs to spend more money to maintain the data center. Also for the Augmented Reality (AR), AR is very helpful to make the virtual world become reality and 3D model designing like design building and so on and everything that is related to 3D things can be used in 3D to make it feel like it is real.

Project
Reflection
This project is related on choose which 4th IR technologies that I and my team member are going to choose for your project. In this project, I and my group member have chosen E-wallet. This is because we think that E-wallet has much more potential in the market nowadays. E-wallet is much more convenient than the regular wallet because all the money can be stored in an E-wallet digitally and everyone just has to carry their phone when going outside. In this project, I have learned how to design a low fidelity prototype, design the cloud architecture, and design an AWS cloud architecture and learned how to work as a team so that this project is able to complete on time.
