Mini Report

The "Love Yourself, Love Others" program organized by the Psychology Interactive Club (PSYCHIC) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) was a month-long journey that aimed to promote self-love and foster a sense of understanding and compassion towards others. The program encompassed various activities conducted on Instagram and CiscoWebex meetings, engaging a total of 69 participants. The Closing Ceremony, held on 14th May 2022, brought together all the participants to celebrate their journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

The program focused on several UTM Graduate Attributes, aligning the activities with the development of these essential skills and qualities. Firstly, Communication Skills were emphasized through the use of Instagram as a platform to share tips, videos, and engage in interactive discussions. Participants had the opportunity to express their thoughts, ideas, and experiences, fostering effective communication and expression.

Secondly, Thinking Skills were fostered throughout the program. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their own strengths and weaknesses, promoting critical thinking and self-awareness. Through engaging activities and discussions, they were able to gain insights into their emotions, behaviors, and beliefs.

Scholarship was another attribute emphasized in the program. Participants were provided with valuable resources, including informative videos and tips, to enhance their knowledge and understanding of self-love and empathy towards others. The program encouraged continuous learning and personal growth.

Leadership and Teamworking Skills were also developed through the program. Participants had the opportunity to collaborate with others, sharing their experiences and supporting each other's journeys. They actively engaged in discussions, fostering a sense of teamwork and leadership within the virtual community.

Adaptability, a crucial attribute, was emphasized throughout the program. Participants were encouraged to embrace their imperfections, accept challenges, and adapt to different perspectives. This promoted resilience and the ability to navigate through personal growth.

The program also aimed to cultivate Global Citizenship. By promoting self-love and empathy, participants were encouraged to view themselves and others as part of a global community, fostering respect, understanding, and inclusivity.

Lastly, Enterprising Skills were developed through the competitions and quizzes held during the program. Participants were motivated to showcase their skills, creativity, and determination, promoting innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.

Overall, the "Love Yourself, Love Others" program successfully provided a platform for UTM students to engage in self-reflection, personal growth, and empathy towards others. By aligning the activities with UTM Graduate Attributes, the program empowered participants to develop essential skills and qualities that are crucial for their holistic development as individuals and future leaders.
