UHMT-Graduate success attribute reflection
Assalamualaikum and salam sejahtera,
Graduate success attribute is a compulsory subject with two credit hours allocated that we need to take to complete our first semester in Utm. For my class, this subject was taught by Dr Rizaluddin who is a lecturer in UTM.
From this subject, I learn a lot about student life such as how to work in team and communication skill. Our lecturer, Dr Rizal always shared with us about his experience as a student.
There are a lot of activity that we run in this class such as jigsaw puzzle, identify fallacy around us and presentation group. Our lecturer had divided us to small group and we need to work in group. For presentation, we are given a task to present about past civilisation and ancient kingdom such as about Mongol Empire, Sun Tzu, Hwarang and bushido spirit. From this presentation we had gain more knowledge about past civilisation and learn about lesson from the past. For identify fallacy, our lecturer asked us to gather as aeon taman university. In group we got a task to identify type of fallacy around us such as non sequitur, hasty generalization, false analogy, false dichotomy, appeal to authority and post hoc. For example fallacy of non sequitor is when a statement conclusion does not follow from its premise for example “if you don’t buy this type of food, then you are neglecting your children health.”
Overall, I think this subject are one of the best subject that really help student in their studies because we learned a lot about teamwork and everyone need to give cooperation to make sure every work can be done well.
