Journey
Getting the AWS badge is no kidding for me. It was difficult because the course is supposed to be completed in 20 hours, but it was worthwhile because I acquired a lot of new information during this course. It's difficult for me to find time to watch all of the videos in the course because I have a very hectic schedule as a student with other assignments to do, including the SECP1513 subject. Fortunately, all UTM students get a week of emergency leave because some UTM students are affected by a severe flood. I took that opportunity to complete all the modules.
It took me around three days to finish all of the modules. I spend my days and nights in front of my laptop screen, forcing myself to concentrate on all of the modules because each one will have a test at the end. Furthermore, certain courses featured labs that must be completed in order to earn the badge. I'm not sure what the AWS badge's shape is called; it has five sides, but it's not a pentagon. With a white backdrop, it features the text "aws academy" at the top and "Graduate" in the middle.
Reflection
I learned a lot of knowledge, especially about cloud computing, after finishing the AWS Academy Cloud Foundations course. This course is essential, especially if you intend to use the Amazon Web Services cloud system in the future. AWS cloud computing can help you save money on server and data storage. You won't have to worry about upgrading or securing your server because AWS will take care of everything. It is quite beneficial to your company's ability to keep a secure storage facility. To be honest, my main motivation to earn the AWS badge is that I will receive a 10% bonus. If you're wondering why a student would want to finish this module when he has so many assignments, talks, projects, labs and tests to catch up on. I'm not sure if I have to write this, but if the course's administration reads this, please reconsider your plans for the SECP1513 subject. Because, if you ask any of the students who are currently enrolled in this course, I believe they will agree that this subject is quite overwhelming. It has talks while we students still have classes to attend at the same time. But don't get me wrong: SECP1513 subject and AWS Academy Cloud Foundation are wonderful courses that will prepare us for the future; nevertheless, the scheduling for this topic should be adjusted to make it more bearable for students.
Module six is the most difficult for me since there is a lot to keep up with and I am overloaded with fresh information, whereas module one is the easiest because it is just an introduction to the module. Yes, getting this module was worthwhile because I would receive a 10% grade while learning more about cloud computing. In my opinion, any company should consider cloud computing because it will save money and provide very solid security for the organization's critical information. Yes, I believe that all computer science students should earn this AWS badge, particularly if they have a lot of free time, as this session will overwhelm you with information. I would also recommend this badge to my friends, especially if they are learning about technology. After earning this badge, I hope to apply what I've learned to become a better student in the future. In my opinion, including the AWS badge as part of this SECP1513 subject is a wonderful idea, but the percentage of students that obtain this badge should be higher, as it is not an easy task, especially us having limited time.
